Recently, consultation on immigration to Canada has become more and more popular. Many people who consult immigrants will ask: What changes will happen to Canada’s immigration policy in the future? Will it be getting harder? What preparations do you need to make in advance if you plan to immigrate?
The current immigration trend will definitely have policy changes, but we also want to give everyone a reassurance. Canada will not be as tight as Australia's policies in the past three years and suddenly "close"! According to the latest "Canadian Immigration Level Plan for 2023-2025" , the overall immigration quota has been increased again, and 465,000, 485,000, and 500,000 new immigrants will be introduced each year!

has 100,000 more places than the quota of 400,000 in 21 and 22 years! At the same time, the Canadian government will continue to pay attention to economic growth for a long time, and the quota of economic immigration will exceed 60% of the total quota, such as federal skilled immigration , various provincial nominations for skilled immigration , etc., are all very suitable projects for our Chinese applicants.
At the same time, in order to meet the employment needs of the local labor market, the Canadian immigration system is also updating and making some adjustments in keeping with the times.

First of all, occupation code update
Canada's NOC occupation code is the standard for classifying all occupations and is also the only designated reference basis for the Immigration Bureau when reviewing the applicant's occupation category. According to the job responsibilities and technical properties of each profession, it is divided into categories 0, a, b, c, and d, and will be updated every five years.
Starting from November 16 this year, the Immigration Bureau will start to enable the new NOC occupational classification system, also known as NOC 2021. Some of these professions will become immigration professions that can take the fast track, such as salary administrators, dentist assistants, pharmacy assistants, truck drivers, and aircraft assembly workers; while some professions such as fitness coaches will no longer meet the requirements for fast track application.

followed by fast track reform
The federal fast track reform that has been predicted many times will be officially implemented next spring. EE will adopt a new invitation method to invite applicants from specific professions according to the labor market needs, rather than treating all professions equally. After the reform, some industries will be favored, such as scarce industries such as technology, early childhood education, and medical care;
, and some industries will be cold, such as basic industries such as administration and warehouse management. After the reform, the invitation scores in scarce industries will be lower and there will be more opportunities to draw lots; while the invitation scores for regular occupations will be relatively high, and the frequency of invitations will be reduced.
In fact, the provincial nomination project has already implemented this targeted invitation model first: BC Province nominated targeted early childhood education and nursing occupations frequently send out ultra-low-score invitations; individual invitations are made for IT technology positions; and the invitation scores for regular occupations are almost twice that of short positions.

AB province has opened an "acceleration channel" for shortage positions. There is no need to score. Applicants who meet the conditions can receive an active invitation from the province as soon as they enter the pool. In the fiercely competitive Ontario , it also regularly sends invitations below the EE score to designated positions based on local employment needs, which is called the "human talent project".
Finally, the provincial nomination quota is increased
As the calls for strengthening immigration autonomy are getting higher and higher, PNP demonstrates an increasingly important position in economic immigration projects. The quota nominations for provinces and provinces have also increased significantly. This year's share exceeded the federal share for the first time, and will increase significantly from 86,000 to 105,000 in the 2023 plan. It can be seen that the new immigration survey results of this project have a good impact on the local economic development.

Although the Immigration Bureau’s target for PNP is at a record high, some provinces believe they are facing a severe labor shortage; because millions of workers will reach retirement age within the next decade, provinces need new immigrants with professional skills to inject fresh blood into the local labor market, and PNP will be the mainstream of future immigration.
