Social media Video spread on Twitter showed that during the event's Q&A session, a protester angrily scolded Cortez: "Women of Congress! Your vote for the delivery of weapons and equipment to Ukraine is to provoke a nuclear war, and other than that, nothing matters." The man also mentioned Tulsi Gabbard, a former Hawaii State Rep. Tulsi, who had previously announced his withdrawal from the Democratic Party, had previously announced his withdrawal from the Democratic Party. Gabbard said, "Gabard left the Democratic Party because they are a group of war hawks. You run as an outsider, but you have been voting to start this war in Ukraine... Why do you take the lives of the American people as a joke?"

In the video, another protester also stood up and shouted at Cortez as a "coward", saying that she was sending money to the "Ukrainian Nazis." The protester also mentioned Gabard, who opposed the U.S. funding the Ukrainian conflict, and said: "You did nothing! Gabard showed courage, and you showed cowardice." He asked Cortez to "condemn" the Democratic Party as Gabard did earlier this week.
Cortez seemed to respond to the words of the second protester, but couldn't hear what she said in the video. The New York Post pointed out that earlier this year, Cortez voted for the United States to provide $40 billion in military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

After the incident, a Twitter user named Jose Vega tweeted that he and his friends were the two protesters in the video. He tweeted, "My friend and I questioned Cortez in support of the nuclear war and the Ukrainian Nazis. I accused her of being a coward in the face of a party that will now push us all into the nuclear war (referring to the Democratic Party of America). Will she stand up and fight for peace like Gabbard?" The New York Post reported that Cortez's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. (Editor: HHJ)
