According to the "Daily Mail" report on November 30, a British man had not paid his rent for several months, and the landlord could not contact him. In order to get the rent back and evict him, the landlord brought a policeman into the house. However, what is surprising is that the male tenant actually died in the room long ago and has become a corpse.
Roy Curtis
According to reports, 28-year-old Roy Curtis is from Milton Keynes in the UK. He is an autistic patient. Due to the special circumstances, he has been relying on receiving government relief funds to make ends meet. In September two years ago, Curtis refused to participate in the health work assessment. Two months later, he never heard from him again. On August 21 last year, the landlord discovered that Curtis had defaulted on rent of £2,767. That day, he brought a policeman to the house where Curtis was renting. After the two entered the door, they did not find anyone, but after a careful search, they found that Curtis had died in the cupboard, and he had become a corpse.
Curtis and his mother
On November 30 this year, the local court held a hearing on the death of Curtis. The coroner said that the autopsy showed that Curtis's body was in a highly mummified state when it was found. Police officer Ian Wright, who found the body at the time, said in court that he found the body in the cabinet that day and Curtis committed suicide by hanging. In that cupboard, Curtis also left a handwritten note, which read: "I have spent 21 days in a violent hell, that is the mental health system. Obviously, I didn't get it. Treatment. Because I don’t want to and don’t need treatment. My death is not the fault of the mental health system.” The coroner said that Curtis was a patient in a mental health treatment center and the doctors there successfully helped. He regained his health. After returning home, Curtis was told to participate in a health work assessment, which made him feel a lot of pressure. In the end, he did not participate in the evaluation. Later, he was notified that his government benefits had been cancelled because he did not participate in that assessment.
Curtis and his mother
heard the news, Curtis was hit hard. He emailed a friend that he planned to commit suicide, but he was rescued by the police and taken to the emergency room. After this incident, the government immediately restored his welfare. But a month later, he received a notice to accept a health work assessment. This notice made him feel that he was about to lose government relief again, so he made an extreme act. At present, the hearing has not yet ended, and it is expected to continue for two days.
