After three years of fighting against the new coronavirus, China has achieved initial victory in epidemic prevention. This victory is reflected in two aspects: First, we have reduced the mortality rate of new crown and reduced it to the same level as a "cold". This is a major prerequisite for us to gradually relax economic life. Second, internationally, China has promoted 184 states to fully comply with the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons and strengthen the authority and effectiveness of the Convention, which is an amazing achievement.
According to the Global Times , the ninth conference of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons closed in Geneva a few days ago. China's Ambassador for Disarmament Affairs Li Song publicly stated after the meeting that against the backdrop of global geopolitical tensions, repeated raging COVID-19, and rapid development of biotechnology, China has actively promoted the participating countries to achieve an important achievement, namely establishing a verification mechanism to ensure that 184 contracting parties fully comply with the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons.
This move has two positive significance. One is to enable the Convention to be implemented and no longer become a decoration. Second, it reflects the common position of the vast number of developing countries represented by China to prepare for biological warfare.
So this is the real multilateralism victory. It is obvious that China's leadership of 184 countries to prevent biochemical wars and is a good thing that is popular and will help maintain global peace and human health. But this move makes a country very unhappy, that is, the United States. Why do you say so?
First , the United States refuses to implement the Convention mechanism. The United States has opposed the establishment of a verification mechanism for more than 20 years. As one of the remaining countries of the Convention, it not only does not comply with the Convention, but also wants to be an exception, which makes the Convention without any authority.

In addition, the Pentagon also launched a large number of biological military activities at the Fort Detrick base in its own country. What is the purpose of developing the biological weapon in the United States and what is it to do? The international community does not know anything, and the United States also hides its cover-up and refuses to accept multilateral verification.
The actions of the United States actually seriously violate the provisions of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons, not only making the Convention a piece of waste paper, but also putting all mankind in the shadow of "biological warfare". It is really vicious!
It should be noted that the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons was jointly proposed and signed by the United States, Britain and the Soviet Union in 1972, and later came into force in 1975. To date, there are a total of 184 States parties. China acceded to the convention in 1984.
The provisions of the Convention are clearly written, prohibiting the State party from manufacturing and developing any biological weapons, toxins and biological agents, and at the same time, the State party promises to strengthen the peaceful uses of biotechnology. Although the regulations are good, they have been inadequately implemented, mainly due to the opposition and obstruction of the United States.
At this time, it is necessary to formulate a "verification mechanism" to verify who is developing biological weapons and to enhance the authority and effectiveness of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons. For example, in October this year, Boston University developed a new coronavirus strain with an astonishing 80%. The virus can cause nerve and lung damage to living organisms and eventually cause death.
Therefore, China promotes all contracting parties to fully comply with the Convention and establishing a verification mechanism is the general trend of people's hearts.
After all, biological warfare is too terrible. To be honest, after three years of COVID-19 infection, everyone has a clear understanding of biological warfare. This thing is too poisonous. According to incomplete statistics, the new crown has caused nearly 7 million deaths worldwide, which is the total number of deaths in all wars after World War II .Moreover, the new coronavirus has not been completely eliminated. People don’t know where it came from and where it is going. Will it mutate again in the future and cause more human lives and economic losses?
Therefore, to prevent biological warfare, the first step is to prevent the United States, a country with cutting-edge biotechnology, from creating and poisoning. By establishing a multilateral verification mechanism with 184 state parties, China is saying no to biological warfare and bankrupting the U.S. plan to control the world through biological warfare.
At present, more and more countries have realized that the United States will use all means, including the use of biological weapons, to maintain its hegemony, and the consequences will be truly unimaginable. Therefore, 184 contracting states, including China, have united to stop the crazy behavior of the United States. This is what the people want!
