According to reports, a green camp person revealed that Tsai Ing-wen convened a meeting with Lai Ching-te, Su Zhenchang, Gu Lixiong, Ke Jianming and Chen Chi-mai on the afternoon of the 4th of this month. Two things were rumored after that. One was that Lai had reported to Tsai that he wanted to run for the party chairman; the other was that after the end of this session, the Taiwan legislature would determine the reorganization of the administrative body, and Su Zhenchang must leave. The person said that the first thing has been settled, and the second thing has variables. The key is that Su Zhenchang doesn't want to leave.
The green camp person further pointed out that the recent rumors in the green camp that the "British Group" headed by former DPP Secretary-General Hong Yaofu, deliberately wooed Su Zhenchang to cooperate in order to resist Lai Ching-te's rise, and the "British Group" situation has gradually taken shape, but the problem is that the "British Group" also wants Chen Jianren to replace Su Zhenchang.
