So what we are seeing now appears, the Philippines is looking for new ways to obtain energy in the South China Sea.
According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, the Philippines is considering looking for oil and gas in the South China Sea without reaching any deal with China. The country's president Marcos announced that Filipinos should find a way for themselves to explore good development resources in the South China Sea.
Marcos stressed that although China and the Philippines have controversial issues in the South China Sea, the Philippines is now facing a serious energy shortage, and if it is not resolved, it will suffer heavy losses, so the Philippines can only explore its own resources.
Relevant analysis believes that Marcos' statement this time implies cooperating with the United States to contain China. Not long ago, US Vice President Harris visited the Philippines and promised that once Philippine ships and planes in the South China Sea would provide protection for them. At that time, Harris also specially logged into Palawan Island and looked at the Nansha Islands in China to show his strong support for the Philippines. Harris' move is nothing more than trying to win over the Philippines and provoke disputes in the South China Sea again.
But can the United States and the Philippines really do whatever they want in the South China Sea? Russian international expert Moshakov pointed out that China will never allow it, and anyone who takes care of itself in the disputed area is exploiting oil or natural gas.
This expert emphasized that once the Philippine expedition ship and drilling platform appear in the disputed area, the patrol boats of Chinese fishermen will arrive immediately, which will be a provocative road. Obviously, after Vietnam could not fight against China, the United States turned to cultivating the Philippines. After all, the Philippines is an ally of the United States. If it gives a little benefit, it can make it work hard.
Marcos' statement now proves this. After taking office, Marcos returned to the pro-US route and interacted with the United States very actively, especially on the issue of resources in the South China Sea, where he showed a tough attitude towards China. For example, he said that if China and the Philippines cannot reach an agreement on joint exploration of oil and gas, the Philippines will likely invite other countries, including the United States, to join exploration cooperation. Once this happens, China will not only conduct fierce diplomatic protests, but will even launch tougher measures, including dispatching warships for an armed standoff.
Therefore, without China's consent or without consultation with China, the Philippines will unauthorize oil and gas resources in disputed areas in the South China Sea, which will inevitably further tension between China and the Philippines and even trigger unnecessary conflicts.
Currently, China has prepared two sets of measures to deal with disputes in the South China Sea.
First, it constantly requires the Philippines to follow to shelve the controversy , jointly develop the consensus and explore the resources of the South China Sea together.
If the Philippine soldiers ignore the overall situation and insist on deliberately intensifying the differences in the South China Sea with the support of the United States, then there is no possibility of negotiation between the two sides, which will inevitably bring China and the Philippines to an anti-destination. Therefore, the Philippines needs to think about this issue carefully.
Second, it joins forces with Russia to oppose the United States-led NATO interference in the South China Sea affairs.

Of course, the United States and NATO are not afraid to make trouble in the South China Sea in person, so they adopted the method of cultivating agents to conduct strategic testing. This fully demonstrates that the United States has regarded the Philippines as a strategic pawn and a tool toward China. If the Philippines still doesn't understand this, it will have to show off completely with China in order to monopolize energy.
