November 29, the 4th China-Russia Energy Business Forum was held in Beijing and Moscow .
According to Russian media, the Russian Natural Gas Industry Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Russia Gas Company") stated at the forum that the supply of along the line can reach 500 00 500 million cubic meters of natural gas per year. It is reported that China's natural gas demand is expected to further increase to more than 550 billion cubic meters by 2030.

16, Gazprom announced that the design of the "Oriental Alliance" gas pipeline is expected to end in 2023, and the pipeline continues to transport natural gas to China through Mongolia.
Another Russian gas pipeline that is being designed to supply to China is the Far East Line. It is expected that the natural gas exported to China will reach 10 billion cubic meters per year, but the construction schedule has not been publicly announced. At present, Russian natural gas mainly relies on the " Siberia 1" pipeline to supply China, with an annual gas supply of 38 billion cubic meters.

As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify, Europe has almost buried the already completed Nord Stream 2 and tried to completely abandon Russian natural gas, which also promotes Russia to accelerate the construction of natural gas pipelines with the East.

It is reported that the annual capacity of "North Stream 2" is about 500 million cubic meters, which is equivalent to the "Oriental Alliance". Therefore, Russia's natural gas pipeline project leading to China has growth strength that cannot be underestimated and can also bring considerable economic benefits to Russia.
On the other hand, sufficient Russian gas supply can also reduce China's natural gas procurement costs. At present, in order to increase domestic supply, China also purchases a lot of Russian shipping liquefied natural gas .
