On November 22, the Wenchang Municipal People's Court held a public trial on the case of Fu Mouren, former director of the Municipal Grain Purchase and Sales Center, suspected of taking bribes and abuse of power in . Under the guidance of the Wenchang Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Hainan Yixing Urban Construction Investment Co., Ltd. and other government and enterprise units organized more than 60 relevant leading cadres and enterprise leaders to attend the trial at zero distance and received a profound anti-corruption warning education class on the spot.
Public prosecution agency accused that the defendant Fu Mouren used his position to seek benefits for others in matters such as grain purchase and sales, out-of-warehouse, fund allocation or grain reserve agency storage and rotation, and solicited or illegally accepted property from multiple people, of which 371,080 yuan was bribed, which was huge; as a staff member of the state organ, he did not perform his duties correctly and violated the rules. 600 tons of municipal-level reserved grain are handed over to others for storage and rotation, resulting in significant losses of 816,292.45 million yuan in national interests. His behavior has violated the provisions of Article 385, Paragraph 1, Article 386, Article 383, Paragraph 1, Paragraph 2, Paragraph 2, and Paragraph 397, and he shall be held criminally responsible for the crime of accepting bribes and abuse of power. The defendant Fu Mouren voluntarily pleaded guilty and accepted punishment and signed a letter of consent. The case will be sentenced at a later date.
