There are many horror stories, but reality is far more terrifying than the story.
Let us pull our time back to 1999, the real South Korean history third fire occurred - the 1999 karaoke hall fire in Incheon, South Korea. When the fire broke out, the manager of the karaoke hall stood outside the door of the raging fire and asked for money with the teenagers trapped in the fire, otherwise they refused to open the door. This sentence "If you want to survive, please pay" became the last horrifying memory of these 55 victims who died in the fire.

In October 1999, in Incheon, South Korea, there is a district called Inhyun District. This area is the center of youth. There are karaoke, games, cafes, etc. everywhere, and taverns that are secretly open to children. At that time, high school students came to relax collectively just after the exam. But no one knows that there will be a dangerous person who will kill everyone.

There is a building in this area where the children know each other and secretly make an appointment to take the exam and come here to play together. The building has 4 floors, the basement is a karaoke shop, the first floor is the front hall restaurant, the 3rd to 4th floor is the snooker billiards shop, and the second floor is a bar that secretly sells prohibited alcohol to minors. Hundreds of teenagers gathered at this secret bar.

That night, the teenagers in this bar had a great time. Plus it was Saturday, and more teenagers came to play than usual. Later everyone found smoke outside. In the blink of an eye, the fire quickly spread into the tavern. Hundreds of teenagers were unable to escape in a small confined space. Some people escaped from the scene in time, but many children are not so lucky.

The fire spread to the entire building in just 20 minutes. People in the bar must risk their lives to climb higher or choose to jump off the building to survive. But the kids in this secret bar are trapped in a bar with no way out. The windows have partitions that cannot be escaped. Importantly, there was a bar manager standing outside the door locked the door and refused to open it!

"If you don't want to die, give money." In this case, the manager still asks for money from the young people. But soon the fire in front of the door burned and could not get out. So the manager sneaked into the back of the kitchen, escaped from the secret passage of the fan vent, and ran away alone. The children suddenly saw a bright exit sign in the darkness. But when finally reaching it, it was discovered that it was a fake sign with no escape passage at all behind.

Fire exit sign is placed above the bathroom door, but it is not a fire escape passage there at all. Soon, everyone inhaled a lot of poison gas until they died. The scenes seen were horrifying when firefighters managed to control the fire and inspect the building. Because all the children's bodies are piled under fake fire access signs.

During the on-site survey, the experts found that the entire building was decorated with flammable materials, such as flammable foam walls. Nothing in this building meets the standards, not even a fire extinguisher. The cause of the fire started with the short circuit of in the basement circuit.

The police investigation found that almost the entire neighborhood was owned by a single man named Park Fan Soo. He has almost everything around bars, cafes, karaoke, game shops, etc. And he can do whatever he wants, even if it is illegal in this regard! Because he used his money to buy police officers in the entire district, his illegal acts became legal.

Afterwards, Park hurriedly fled, but later chose to surrender. But in the end, the court tried very lightly, and many people believed that justice was not obtained. Because Park was sentenced to 5 years in imprisonment ! The manager was sentenced to three years in prison, and 55 teenagers died in the incident! Nearly 100 others were seriously injured. Later, there were rumors that Mr. Park turned into a religious preacher.

At present, Incheon has set up a memorial hall. Many surviving children in the urban education center said that Incheon had just developed at the time and there was no place for the children to gather. This has led to a tragedy, and none of this will happen to this day. I want to say that I hope the tragedy will never happen again. Please cherish our lives and live in the present.
