Norman Johnson is a farmer in South Taranaki. On October 24, he celebrated his 100th birthday and has begun to look forward to the media interview when he was 110 years old.
He said that the three secrets of his longevity are "not drinking, not smoking, and not loving women". In addition, eating various foods, maintaining interest in "everything", and having a good immune system will also help prolong his life.
"I get sick sometimes, winter is the worst time. But so far my body has been getting better."
Although he is 100 years old, Norman is still relatively flexible. He can walk around by himself, pick up emails by himself, feed the dog, and what assists him is a curved metal crutch. When he was 98, he could still milk himself.
Norman Johnson moved to his current Skitter Road farm when he was seven years old and rarely left since then. After completing his studies at the age of 15, Norman helped his parents pay off their mortgage on the farm through work. Since then, he has always insisted on making agriculture the center of his life.
Although he said he was very popular with the ladies, Norman was single for life. He said the most important lady in his life was his mother.

Although Norman is rich, he never thought of expanding his farm, but was always helping others. "For some people, banks don't lend them money, so I help them, and most people pay back the money."
When Norman reflected on his life, one of the big things he focused on was "people".
He said: "Many of my friends are no longer by my side. Sometimes I can't help but shed a few tears."
