Yonhap News Agency said that South Korea's arms exports increased significantly this year, and the cumulative export volume from January to September reached 4 times the average annual export volume before 2020.
report also pointed out that the biggest buyer of the above order is Polish , importing K2 main battle tank , K-9 self-propelled artillery , FA-50 light attack aircraft and other weapons from South Korea, with a cumulative amount of US$8.8 billion. The second ones are imported K-9 self-propelled artillery (US$1.7 billion), the UAE imported "Sky Bow"-2 surface-to-air missile system (US$1.3 billion), and the Philippine imported far-sea guard ship (US$600 million). According to Korean media News 1, from 2017 to 2021, South Korea ranked 8th in the world in arms exports.
