Uganda Police said on October 25 local time that a fire broke out in a blind school in Mucono area in central China in the early morning of the same day, killing 11 people and injuring 6 people.
Kampala Police Department spokesman Owojesier said in a statement that police have begun investigating the cause of the fire in the school.
It is understood that this blind school has a total of 76 students. The fire hit a dormitory with 26 visually impaired female students, and the victims were between the ages of 7 and 10.

How to escape from campus fires and save yourself
1, Escape early. Under normal circumstances, the fire starts from the beginning to the rapid burning, which only takes more than ten minutes, leaving people with a very short escape time. 4. Use ropes to slide. Use a strong rope or tore curtains, sheets, bedding, etc. into strips, twist them into ropes, wet them with water, tie them to firm pipes, window frames, and bed frames, and the trapped people slide along the rope to the next floor or ground one by one.
5. Low-level jump, suitable for two-story buildings. Before jumping, throw some soft items such as quilts, pillows, mattresses, coats, etc. to the ground for "soft landing", then grab the window with your hands, sag your body and slide naturally to shorten the jumping height. But remember not to jump to a tall building, because jumping down from a height of more than 10 meters (three-story high) rarely survives. To this end, the most important thing is to ask for help. You should immediately moisten the sheets and bedding with water, and use them to tighten the doors and windows to prevent smoke from penetrating in. At the same time, you should constantly splash water on the sheets and bedding to prevent it from drying.
