Argentine Chinese Online News September 26th The Argentine government recently passed Resolution 5260/2022 released in the Official Gazette, officially announcing the relevant provisions on the restrictions on overseas online shopping products denominated in US dollars.
The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) promotes the measures to details the changes in the relevant regulations for the transportation of imported and export parcels that are authorized by PSP/Courier Postal Service Providers. The adjustments to the relevant regulations also have an impact on the online shopping of Argentina people abroad. The new
provisions apply to all express parcels whose parcels are shipped to ordinary individuals or legal persons. If they do not have commercial purposes, each person can receive up to 3 overseas parcels per year, each parcel weight shall not exceed 50 kilograms, and the "Flood Price" of each overseas parcel for the same recipient shall not exceed US$1,000 per overseas parcel.
The provisions required that the "FOB price" of packages required before this shall not be higher than US$3,000, and the amount of the new provisions shall not be higher than US$1,000. On the other hand, the official also revised Article 7 of the import or export goods for general consumption.
According to the new regulations, the "FF" of each shipper's exported goods shall not exceed US$3,000, while the "FF" of each product imported (overseas online shopping) to the same recipient shall not exceed US$1,000, and the total weight of the package shall not exceed 50 kilograms.
The goods allowed by the government to purchase include food, clothing, toys, technology products, decorations, etc., and are used for personal and non-commercial purposes, with a weight of no more than 50 kg, and the total amount of the "FOB price" of the package shall not exceed $1,000.
To purchase online abroad, Argentina must use a specific payment method. That is to say, overseas online shoppers must obtain authorization to purchase online from abroad. The payment methods include international credit cards, PayPal payment system, DineroMail, Western Union and other third-party payment platforms.
