After the measures are relaxed, restaurants in the 29 prefectures in the highest strict control zone can reopen for dine-in services, but they must operate under conditions that strictly abide by the relevant anti-epidemic regulations. A regulation mentioned that restaurant staff should be required to complete the new crown vaccination, use the ATK kit for quick screening every week, and require those who come to the store to provide the new crown vaccination certificate or the ATK quick screening negative certificate within 7 days.
On September 1, Apisamak, the assistant spokesperson of the Thailand Epidemic Control Center, responded to the above issues, saying that the regulations related to restaurant staff and consumers who come to eat in restaurants need to be vaccinated or complete ATK quick screening. The requirements are not mandatory, but only as an advocacy for the catering industry. At present, the vaccination rate in many provinces of Thailand is still low, and it is difficult to carry out a large number of fast ATK screening on a regular basis. Therefore, the implementation of the above requirements is not mandatory.
