On November 21, 4 members of the China Geological Survey have been missing for 9 days in Ailao Mountain, Yunnan, and the search and rescue work has entered the 7th day. A reporter from Jimu News learned from an interview that in recent days, hundreds of villagers have been organized to transport supplies to the search and rescue team. Due to the steep mountains and complex terrain, it takes about 3 hours for villagers to hike to the supply point, and it takes five or six hours to get to the farthest camp.

On November 13, four team members of the Kunming Comprehensive Survey Center of the China Geological Survey lost contact when they entered Ailao Mountain from Zhedong Town, Zhenyuan County, Yunnan Province to carry out field operations. So far, the four team members have been missing for 9 days, and the search and rescue work has entered the 7th day.

Because Ailao Mountain is very steep, densely trees, and ravines everywhere, and the geographical environment is very complex, it takes a lot of time for search and rescue personnel to hike from the foot of the mountain to enter the search and rescue area. In order to allow search and rescue personnel to spend more time on search and rescue work, the command center set up first-level supply stations and second-level supply stations in the search and rescue area for rescue personnel to serve as camps, and mobilize local people to transport materials to the supply stations manually.

Master Yang, a villager from Muchang Village, Zhedong Town, participated in the 20th material transportation work and walked the mountain road for one day, which made him so tired that he felt sore. He told Jimu News that because the mountain road is too steep, he had to rely on manpower to deliver supplies to the supply points on the mountain.

"The supplies each of us carry are about thirty or forty kilograms, which contain food, water and some dry food. Although the distance is only two or three kilometers, it takes at least three hours. There is a camp at the farthest that takes five or six hours to get there." Brother Yang said that there are about one or two hundred villagers delivering supplies in the village.

Jimu News reporter saw in the video taken by Master Yang that each villager was walking through the jungle with a large bag of supplies on his back, while the mountain road was steep and it was very difficult to move forward.

In addition, the rescue team involved in the search and rescue also purchased some supplies in the town on their own. On the morning of the 21st, a reporter from Jimu News also met two rescue workers who were shopping for supplies in the store in Zhedong Town, Zhenyuan County. The reporter saw that the supplies they purchased mainly include sausages, chocolates and bread and other foods, and a team member also bought 50 pairs of underwear from the boss.

"Because the rescue workers were too busy working, they sent their clothes to the store to wash a few days ago." A staff member of a dry cleaner in Zhedong Town said that the rescue workers did not send clothes on the 21st. I heard that they had been searching and rescued for the past two days and did not go down the mountain. Jimu News reporters saw from the video taken by front-line rescue personnel that the team members built simple tents on the mountain to make fires and bake clothes.
