I went to Hokkaido Hoshino TOMAMU Resort Ski Resort Ski Resort, which happened in January this year, and this was also my first skiing experience.
map, TOMAMU Resort is close to the center of the Hokkaido region. In terms of administrative division, it is the territory of Zhanguan Village, Yongfu County, Hokkaido Uttarakawa Comprehensive Revitalization Bureau. To the north is Furano, to the east are Obituchi City and Kushiro Wetland. To the west, you will reach Hokkaido's capital Sapporo . The unique geographical location and convenient transportation have also made it a well-known ski resort in Hokkaido. Not only does professional skiers love to go to, but also Zhanguan Village, it is also well known to foreign tourists.
Red circle location
I went through the Kushiro wetland and then went there on the fifth day.
If you want to say what is the difference between skiing there and domestically, I think it is mainly the difference in experience. Since both sides of Japan are seas and there is sufficient water vapor from the ocean, the snow in the mountains is thicker, and the climate is cold and the snow is more powdery, which makes its snow softer and it will not hurt too much when it falls; its price is also very transparent, and there is no forced promotion, so it will not cause "snow-town phobia" like .
Even so, I still want to remind you that skiing is a high-speed job. No matter how soft the snow is, it is inevitable that there will be no accidents when you are in outdoor activities. From your own safety, be careful not to ski for , and , don’t forget to buy yourself insurance.
Watch video to learn skiing
is not exaggerated at all. Before going to Hokkaido to ski, although I like outdoors and mountaineering, I really can’t ski and have never skied in China. And that day at Hoshino TOMAMU ski resort, I only fell three times in total. The main reason was that the snow was too soft and I suddenly fell into it and lost my balance. I was very excited for the rest of the time, and I skied until my legs were weak.
In this sense, I think my balance ability is good.
Of course, I am not a genius who can learn without a teacher. I didn’t go to a ski resort in China, but I also learned it in China. However, some people may be surprised by the way, because I just watched the video and repeatedly gestured to the computer screen. Later, when I arrived in Hokkaido, I wanted to ask a personal trainer to take him to teach for a day, but unfortunately I didn’t have the appointment, but I just slid straight away and enjoyed it.
There are two main ski teaching videos I watched, both of which are on B. In fact, the content of the video may be more detailed than the ones I asked for a coach to teach. If I study it carefully, at least it will be quite effective for me.
The first one was filmed by CCTV sports teaching, with 21 episodes, and the second one was filmed by foreigners, with the name "Ski School-The best snowboard tutorial I've ever seen". As the name suggests, it is indeed very valuable, with a total of 34 episodes. Because you cannot post URLs here, you cannot share them here, but you can search on B station or read the original posts on WeChat platform. The advantage of these two sets of videos
is that they can help you quickly obtain various useful information for getting started with skiing. Of course, just watching it on the computer is not enough, because you must try to integrate, such as playing indoor gestures, and trying to experience the so-called feeling of in the snow field of maintaining balance.
Before I went to Japan, there was a time when I watched ski videos every day and gradually discovered and felt the skills. The key point is nothing more than how to maintain balance and control speed - how to use force and what posture to use, and then grasp the tilt angle of the snowboard, etc.
The most difficult part of skiing is to control the speed, especially slow down. Watching those skiers walking left and right on the snow track on TV is actually the speed control. If the posture is not good and the center of gravity is unstable, then they will naturally roll directly to the ground, and even their lives are in danger.

Snow soft, the price is transparent, buy insurance
Back to Hoshino TOMAMU Resort, I arrived there from Otaki the day before yesterday.Maybe because I was about to ski for the first time, my previous cold symptoms seemed to disappear magically the next day (the symptoms were later released, which is not mentioned later). My partner and I got up at 8 o'clock that morning.
Eat breakfast first. For young people, the amount of breakfast in the resort is not enough to stuff the teeth, and it is still a little small, but eating is better than not eating. At 9 o'clock, we headed straight to the ski resort equipment rental place, and this day of desperate skiing is about to begin.
rental fee list, zoom in to see
Although we didn’t have an appointment with a professional coach who teaches for the whole day, we still made an appointment with an introductory guide for the sake of safety. To put it bluntly, it is to guide you on how to wear, take off the snowboard and brakes, which is actually no different from what you learned before when you watched videos.
After all, it is a ski resort that foreigners often go to. Please provide an introductory coach. As a Chinese who is not very good at Japanese , you can also invite a Chinese-speaking coach. There are 4 coaches who teach us, one man and three women. They have accents and seem to be Taiwanese or Singaporean. They taught each of them one movement, and after the whole thing, an hour passed.
Course classification
As for the equipment we rent, it is also the most basic, namely snowboards, snow poles, helmets, plus snow glasses, and clothes are brought by ourselves. The prices of renting ski equipment and inviting introductory coaches are transparent. Including rental equipment and coaching fees, one person spent about 700 yuan that day, which may be lower than the consumption of some domestic ski resorts. What I agree with is the transparency and openness of the information. In addition to the transparent prices of rental equipment, cable car fares, etc., they all have clear standards for the classification of ski equipment, the level of ski trails, etc., which makes people look particularly clear. Our snow tickets and cable car tickets are the resort's packages, which are more convenient to use. Of course, there is no forced promotion there either.
Ski grading table
Cable car fee
0 After learning, you will enter the official skiing period.
From the perspective of landform, TOMAMU ski resort is a fan-shaped existence. The surroundings are snow trails of different levels distributed on the hillside. Skiers first take the cable car to the top of the mountain, and then slide down from the top of the mountain, and travel back and forth. As beginners, for safety measures, we chose the entry-level and beginner snow tracks.
The most direct feeling of sliding down the entire ski resort is that it is indeed large enough and there are few people, which is indeed much better than that of China. As mentioned earlier, its snow is soft and thick, and it dissipates when it blows in a handful of snow. It doesn’t hurt so much if it falls. It’s not like the indoor ski resort in Hangzhou. Because it is artificially made snow, the moisture is heavy and the snow is not fluffy enough, it will be very painful if it falls.
. Since I can always hear Chinese, I believe there are more foreign tourists. Compared to the photos, there are relatively few Japanese tourists. However, there are also many Japanese parents who bring their children to skate. The children don’t look big, probably at the level of elementary school, but they skate better than adults, and they look flexible and joyful.
real shots in ski resorts, DY/photography
Real skiing is completely different from learning to the screen. In one word, that is "fast". We started sliding from around 10 am, until 12 am, and hurriedly finished lunch, continued to slide until 4 pm, and our legs were a little soft. The stimulation brought by that sense of speed was so fascinating.
is also because the speed is fast enough. To be honest, if you don’t pay attention to safety, it is normal to break your hands and feet if you fall down. F1 car king Schumacher is a more miserable example, so safety is the first priority. As a novice, if you can have a coach with skating, it will be more appropriate. It is best to learn a complete set of skiing skills.
is also for safety reasons. Another advice I would like to give to those friends who want to go skiing is that it is best to buy another insurance.Although something may not necessarily happen, once an accident occurs, it is always troublesome, and it will always be better to have insurance.
is also funny. I didn’t say that the video I learned was filmed by CCTV. The video was filmed in Xuexiang in the Northeast, which should have been in the early days. But it’s really a pity that at least I finished skiing in Hokkaido this time. From a personal experience, if tourists can enjoy a better skiing experience in Hokkaido, the cost may not be more expensive than that in the Snow Village. Then why do you still have to go to Snow Village? It seems that service is still the best.

Hokkaido travel highlights
In addition to skiing, this time this trip to Hokkaido has deep memories in other places, and I will also list one or two to share with you.
Day 1
This is the first time I look down on the plane to see the snow scene in Japan, it is very novel. The seats of the Spring and Autumn Annual Aircraft were really anti-human. Although the plane arrived 50 minutes in advance, it still got off the plane stiffly.
After a long exit procedure, I wanted to eat Yihuan Ramen at first, but when I arrived, the queue in front of me was so long. I had no choice but to change Mei Guangxuan next to me. The taste was OK. In Japanese dishes, the wild vegetables ramen I ordered were 500 yen more expensive than the others. The dumplings were praised, although they were a bit sweet, but unfortunately, there was no vinegar available in Japan, so I always felt that something was missing.

Where to apply for a JR pass bus card, there are young ladies who are proficient in Chinese, English and Japanese languages for guidance, but unfortunately, they did not muster up the courage to take a photo together at that time. The transportation card I applied for was not useful when taking the bus. Fortunately, I understood how to calculate the price of the bus. Compared with China, Japanese buses are really expensive. The jr designated seats made on the way to
. Apart from New Chitose and Kushiro , it was snowing all the way, but later I stayed in Japan for several days and didn’t see much snow, which is one of the regrets. The seats of Japanese trains are different from those in China, with their own cup holders and places to hang things.
Day 2
The next day, the train at 6 o'clock went to Kushiro Wetland to visit. The local train is an old-fashioned tram. I took a photo and studied the cockpit structure. The front of the train is the best viewing location. Along the way, I saw many reindeer, fox, squirrel and other reindeer on the tracks. I would not be disturbed when I saw the train coming from a distance. It seemed that the protection work was very effective. Only when the driver whistled hard could he see the reindeer moving slowly.

After getting off the bus, I can really freeze to death in the morning of minus ten degrees Celsius. The exhaled water vapor was frozen directly on my eyes, and the brim of the hat and mask were frozen for a while. When we got off the bus, the sun had not risen. Along the way, we met many locals who were preparing to take photos of the sunrise. One of the young ladies stood directly on the frozen lake to take pictures. She really sweated for her and greeted her from afar. Unfortunately, she didn't understand the Japanese string she said later, so we turned around and left.
Finally, we walked nearly 12 kilometers and arrived at Maozang's hot spring at around 10 o'clock. The drivers passing by were staring at us for some reason. Later, we woke up. It seemed that there were no sidewalks along the way...
Hot spring reviews!
Because I arrived early, there was no one else, so I experienced the hot spring package for the first time. I experienced the open-air hot spring, and it was better to look from a distance. I froze to death above my neck and burn to death below my neck. The lunch was curry, the meat tasted good, and the others were average. If you actually experience it, it was indeed better in China in terms of food culture.
returned to Kushiro a little late, and found that there was no place to open except for the convenience store. I was very sad and I still had dinner at a convenience store. However, the sushi of Rosen is really delicious, and Suntory's slightly drunk basically comes with a can of it every day.
I stayed in the hotel at night and didn't go out. I used the hotel washing machine to process my clothes. Traveling with more outdoor activities really requires the hotel laundry room to be convenient enough. At Hoshino's B&B, there was a problem with the dryer there, and the clothes couldn't be dried at all. As a result, I didn't change my clothes in the next few days.
Day 3
I originally planned to go to the wetland park today. I went to Hejiantai at noon and rode my horse. But I had been shopping in the wetland park for too long and missed the bus at noon. If I hadn't brought some dry food, I would have starved to death in the wetland park.
In addition, the park office now does not borrow snowshoes, but telescopes are provided for free. If not, they can borrow them there. The animals seen in the wetlands are all 108,000 miles away. Without telescopes, you can only rely on your brain to make up for it. In addition, I really want to buy dolls from the park office, but unfortunately I don’t sell them. I didn’t find any places for sale online.
Kushiro's crane, DY/photography
Although I don't want to admit it, it turns out that when people in the south see snow, they just encounter typhoons like people in the north. It's so strange. On the way from the crane to the hotel, we didn't take a taxi, and we walked all the way. The scenery in the north is too rare for both of us. It took only a few kilometers to take pictures and walk for two hours.
Because it is the Chinese New Year, we are the only ones in the B&B, which is completely in the state of booking. Except for the seafood, the dinner is a bit subtle, and everything else is well received. Sure enough, Hokkaido's beef and dairy products are much better than what you can see in China.
Day 4
The breakfast at the B&B is so delicious. Although I had a fever, I finished all of it and my appetite was not affected at all. After asking the store for some cold medicine, I took it less than an hour after I was asked, all the symptoms were cured. It was too magical and scared the classmates.
I bought some medicine in Kushiro in the morning and set off for Obitui. Fortunately, today's itinerary was just eating. The pork chops at noon and the desserts at Rikwatje in the afternoon were really delicious. I forgot to take photos while eating. I passed by the beach on the train. I forgot to take photos even if I just watched it. It was a pity.
I took a picture of the sea on the train. DY/photography
made the bus at three o'clock. It was so far away. At other times, it was dark and I didn't take photos. In fact, it was because the cold medicine had worked, and the whole person was shaking. I don't know if it was because of this. Although the supper looked pretty good, it was really not delicious. It was either light or salty, and I basically didn't finish it.
According to the classmate, he used poison to fight the poison. He went to the hot springs that he had been soaked for a long time at night. This time he didn't try to open the air. Because of taking medicine, he didn't drink alcohol and was heartbroken.
Day 5
Actually, I am very sorry to my classmates because I had a fever problem. I originally planned to go to the outdoor activities in the morning and didn’t make an appointment. I ran to Oihiro but the hospital was not opened. Finally, I bought some cold medicine and set off for Hoshino. By the way, the lunch was super bad. I just found it next to the subway station. It was very greasy and tasted very salty. I really couldn't accept this taste very much.
On the way, I asked the young lady who helped arrange the itinerary to contact the store to pick her up. It happened to be quite snowing on Hoshino that day, and she was in a good mood when she first saw her.
took advantage of the afternoon to check out the things that the coach had made before, checked the ski resort, and visited the double-floor room of the resort while the cleaning staff were cleaning. The supper was still salty and oily. I don’t know if it was because of the cold, so I was a little desperate.
, DY/photography
There are several braziers there where to eat. We have also studied its working principle for a long time, and finally found that the following one is a stone, not a coal. I visited the ice village, it was hard to describe it, so that's it.
At 9 pm, the store drove to pick it up. There was also a couple who were also Chinese. At first, I thought they were Japanese because the woman had been communicating with the store in Japanese. Until the male voice opened his mouth, the Northeast stubborn smell almost burst out laughing. There are still hot springs in the hotel. As a result, when I was soaking in the hot springs, I communicated with a Chinese-speaking Singapore uncle in Japanese for a long time before I found out that the other party was in Chinese. The hotel's air conditioning works very well, even better than the dryer... I really don't want to complain.
Day 6
Skiing, see above.
Day 7
I woke up in the morning and found that I was suffering. My legs were sore and painful, but today I had to take a lot of roads. In addition, because I had to drink alcohol today, I simply didn’t take cold medicine. It felt great. I should have been cured, probably.
I felt the snow getting thicker along the way, but when I arrived at the station, there was no snow. I was shocked. After walking around, I found that it was just cleaned up. In the morning, I visited Pokémon's store and bought gifts for several nephews. In the afternoon, I went to Don Gilleskode and bought various gifts to "female friends". I carried two bags of man on my back and rushed to the beer museum. It was not important to visit, just take a walk around.
Old buildings, DY/photography
We are going to drink to death today. Then the two of them drank a total of ten cups and were really overwhelmed...
Because they were overwhelmed, they didn't even see the night view. The two zombies crawled back to the hotel like this. Well, the night view of the hotel is also good, so I comforted myself like this.
Day 8
I let myself go on the last day, so I seized the opportunity to go to Otaru . In fact, we only visited Otaru for a long time and looked at several important attractions. After taking the bus to the aquarium, we fell to Japan when we crossed the zebra crossing. We watched the bus drive away like this and couldn't even get up. In a fit of anger, we went to the Triangle Market for seafood, so we went to the sea in the morning, and then squatted for an afternoon...

Day 9
Depart early in the morning, and then perfectly hit the rush hour in Sapporo. After waiting for 4 buses, I didn't squeeze in. It was interesting. In the end, the two of them squeezed in one hole.
New Chitose shopping routinely and check in on a routine basis, I found that I didn’t need to buy weight at all. The 15kg in Spring and Autumn is calculated together, and it doesn’t matter how much it is to take the plane, which is unbelievable.
On the last day of Japan, DY/photography
There are indeed many more shops inside the customs than outside the customs, but abroad is not worth the weight. I saw a young lady on the plane with such a big bag, and the flight attendant didn't care. The young lady asked me to help put the things on the luggage rack. After weighing it, it must be about ten kilograms.
The routine program of low-cost airlines is selling things and broadcasting it all the time. It’s really a bit uncomfortable to get off the plane and the trip to Japan is over. Well, at least I won’t regret my current choice in more than ten years. In addition, there are many people on the plane, these are the same when they come and they go. They will meet one or two on the way, which is interesting. Welcome to click "Learn More" to discover more exciting content from us.
