Labor Day holiday is approaching. The Chinese Embassy in Japan wishes all citizens a happy holiday and reminds Chinese tourists to Japan to pay attention to the following matters:
1. Please enter Japan with a valid passport and visa
The passport of those who hold Japanese short-term visas should have a valid period of more than 6 months. Before entering the country, please prepare relevant certificates such as round trip air ticket orders, hotel orders, etc. in order to explain the situation to the immigration officials. According to international practice, even if you hold a valid passport and a valid visa of the country to be entered, the immigration officials of that country still have the right to refuse your entry. If the communication fails, it is recommended that you accept the decision of the local competent department. If you are treated unfairly or violently, you can save evidence, contact the embassy and consulate in Japan to explain the situation, and safeguard your legitimate rights and interests through complaints or judicial channels. Please do not bring raw meat, sausage, bacon, jerky and other meat products into Japan.
2. Buy insurance in advance
Japanese medical expenses are expensive, so be sure to buy travel accident insurance and medical insurance in advance . In recent years, Chinese citizens who go to Japan have suffered injuries due to excessive drinking, hot spring bathing, sudden cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and even sudden death. Visitors with relevant medical history or older must pay attention to their physical condition. Visitors with chronic diseases are advised to bring enough commonly used medicines.
3. Choose a regular platform
. When booking machine (car, boat) tickets, hotels or homestays, chartered cars, one-day tours and other products, you should pay attention to the formal platform and pay attention to whether the tourism products have legal operating qualifications. Don’t book “black homestays”, “black cars”, non-compliant individual customer group buying, etc. for cheap purposes. If you are on a chartered trip, please take a vehicle with operation qualification (license plate is green on white or white on colored lines and green borders ). If you rent a car and drive by yourself, you must have a Japanese driver’s license or apply for a legal international driver’s license.
4. Comply with Japanese laws and regulations
This year's May Day holiday coincides with Japan's ten consecutive long holidays. It is expected that major scenic spots and public transportation will be very crowded. Tourists who take children out for traveling should take care of their children and beware of stampede accidents. Please abide by Japanese laws, regulations and traffic rules, and do not enter private courtyard residences without authorization. Please do not enter areas with words such as "Prohibited entry" and "Private land". Before taking pictures, you should first confirm whether there are signs that are prohibited from taking pictures. You should obtain the consent of the parties involved in taking photos of others in advance.
5. Please pay attention to
Japanese merchants’ product price tags, return and exchange regulations, etc., please pay attention to whether the price tag is tax-inclusive when shopping. When checking out, you should ask whether the return and exchange can be made to avoid unnecessary disputes. Please note that Japanese law stipulates that whether returns can be decided by the merchant. The government and other departments cannot force merchants to return . Some Japanese hotels will charge service fees, or have minimum consumption such as cold dishes (お海し).
