Before 2015, CUBA and CUBS were in parallel. In 2015, CUBS specially invited Peking University and Taiyuan University of Technology to participate in CUBS. Both teams reached the finals and won the championship and runner-up respectively. Peking University also obtained the qualification to participate in the World University Games.
