Zhang Yutong confirmed on the afternoon of the 15th that she was invited by chance to join the People's Party as a spokesperson and will deal with the issue of having the same Kuomintang membership in the future.

Zhang Yutong publicly stated in mid-June this year that he intends to run for Tainan City Councillor on behalf of the Kuomintang and has received support and recommendation from the same party member Cai Yuhui; but the Tainan City Party Committee of the Kuomintang finally chose to recruit senior media person Yao Zhengyu, so Zhang Yutong's attitude turned low-key. Regarding the party membership, Zhang Yutong pointed out that he joined the Kuomintang around October 2021, but because he is now the spokesperson of the People's Party, he is not suitable to have other party members at the same time, and will be dealt with in the future.
