Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the four most influential world universities in the world. The ranking is updated every year and 13 indicators in five categories including teaching, research, paper citation, internationalization, and industrial income. It ranks more than 1,000 best universities in the world. On October 12, 2022, Times Higher Education (THE) released the 2023 world university rankings.
In the 2023 World University Rankings released by Times Higher Education, a total of 65 mainland universities in my country are among the top 1,000 in the world. Here are the rankings of these universities:
This is the rankings of mainland Chinese universities in the top ten, and a total of 7 mainland Chinese universities are among the top 100 in the world. Among them, , Tsinghua and , Peking University are similar in rankings, ranking 16th and 17th in the world respectively, and ranked 1st and 2nd in my country. The third place in mainland my country is Fudan University , the fourth place is Shanghai Jiaotong University , the fifth place is Zhejiang University , the sixth place is University of Science and Technology of China , and the seventh place is Nanjing University .
Wuda and Huake still rank within the top 10 in mainland my country. The school was founded relatively short. Southern University of Science and Technology, which was founded in 2012, has developed rapidly. It has ranked 166th in the world and 8th in mainland my country in the 2023 rankings, surpassing famous universities such as Wuhan University, Huake, and Hangjikai.
This is the ranking of other mainland Chinese universities in the top 1,000 of Times World University rankings. Sichuan University has good comprehensive strength, ranking 11th. The "Hangji Kai", which has a domestic fame and influence closely behind the "Five Chinese People", is also of course low in the rankings of this list. Tongji and Nankai ranked 12th and 15th in the mainland respectively, while Beihang ranked 28th in the mainland.
In fact, although "Hangji Kai" is a university of the same level, Beihang University is located in Beijing, the capital, and it has strong practicality in its disciplines and majors. Its strength has developed well in recent years. Whether it is subject strength or admission scores, Beihang University is firmly ranked first among the three schools.

These universities are all on the list. Times University ranks within the top 1,000 in the world and within the top 65 in mainland China.
There are many 211 universities with more famous domestic reputations that have not appeared in the top 1,000 list of Times University. Renmin University of China has previously stated that it does not participate in the international rankings, and it is indeed not revealed in this list.
