There are two teams participating in each event, namely the European team and the World Team. Each team consists of 1 captain and 6 players. The captains of the European teams in the previous four events were Björg , and the captains of the world team are John McEnroe . 6 players were qualified based on the ATP singles ranking after French Open that year, while the other 3 players were determined by their respective captains.
