Priority Sports agents Mark Bartelstein and Reggie Brown told ESPN on Tuesday that guard Jevon Carter plans to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks after he clears waivers.

The Nets waived Carter on Monday after reaching an agreement with free agent guard Goran Dragic. Carter is the second perimeter player to join the Bucks this month after being waived by the Nets, joining DeAndre Bembry.

Carter provides depth to a Bucks backcourt that was hurt by the loss of Donte DiVincenzo, who was traded to the Sacramento Kings, and Pat Connaughton, who missed a month due to hand surgery.

The Bucks tried to sign Dragic but ultimately lost out on his history and relationship with coach Steve Nash, his former teammate.

26 The younger Carter has played in 46 games for the Nets this season, averaging 3.6 points per 12 minutes after being traded to the Phoenix Suns for two seasons in the offseason. Carter played his rookie season with the Memphis Grizzlies, who selected him with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
