Arriving in Qingdao for the first time: My cabin
After attending a classmate’s wedding in Texas , I took the train to Qingdao. I got off the train at about 7 o’clock in the evening. The B&B is not far from the train station and it only takes 10 minutes to take a taxi. The house is more than 40 square meters, and the decoration is relatively warm. The next day I found out that it was a sea view room, which is more convenient for visiting scenic spots.

DAY1: Zhanqiao, Catholic Church, Signal Hill, Lu Xun Park, Xiao Qingdao, Taitung Night Market
First stop: Watch seagulls on the Zhanqiao
Zhanqiao is Qingdao's earliest military-specific artificial dock is now an important landmark building in Qingdao.
Many people were feeding the seagulls on the shore. The seagulls flew overhead, which was very shocking.
Huilan Pavilion: A two-story octagonal building in the national style, "Fei Pavilion Huilan" is known as one of the ten scenic spots in Qingdao.

Walking from the trestle to the Catholic Church, I met Qingdao Study in the process, so I went to check it out.

Stop 3: The beautiful and solemn Catholic church
St. Michael's Church, with a tower height of 56 meters, is the largest Gothic building in Qingdao and the only consecrated church in China.
There are four large bells hanging inside. Once the bells are played, the sound can be heard for miles.
The interior of the church is solemn and solemn. If you have no faith, it is recommended that you do not need to enter.

The rotating observation deck rotates once every 20 minutes to enjoy Qingdao's architecture and coastline.

Stop 6: Watch the sunset in Xiao Qingdao
Walk west from Lu Xun Park for about 10 minutes to reach Xiao Qingdao. Xiao Qingdao is also called "Qingdao" because its shape is like a guqin.
The island is more than 370 meters away from the east coast. There is a long seawall connected to the land. On the way, I saw the Naval Museum. One word: handsome!
A super beautiful sunset over the sea. The sun sets quickly, dyeing the horizon and water surface golden red.
I met an old man on the road who is very good at photography. He helped me take some photos. Like it!
I have been traveling alone several times, and I have met enthusiastic aunts and uncles who can help me take good photos. Don’t underestimate any uncle or aunt in the future, they are all hidden photography masters!
Lighthouse: It is an important navigation mark for ships passing in and out of Jiaozhou Bay.
Whenever night falls, the red lights on the tower and the lights on the trestle float on the blue waves, forming a wonderful picture - "Qinyu Floating Lanterns", which is one of the top ten landscapes in Qingdao.

Qingdao DAY2: Daxue Road, May Fourth Square , Badaguan , Second Bathing Beach
Stop 8: The red walls and shops on Daxue Road
The red walls here are Qingdao City Fine Arts The walls of the museum, with its red walls, unique corners and road signs, exude a strong literary and artistic atmosphere, which attracts many people to take photos and check in here.
There were a lot of people there on the day I went there. After taking pictures and checking in, I went to look for the many beautiful shops that are said to be here. If you walk eastward from Daxue Road, you can see the road signs and walk into the alleys, which are home to every shop. Shops full of literary and artistic atmosphere come into view.
At the same time, this is also the location of Lao She’s former residence, also known as the Luotuo Xiangzi Museum. It is the place where Mr. Lao She wrote the novel "Luotuo Xiangzi". There were many visiting students gathered in front of the gate that day, so I didn’t go in.

Stop 9: The iconic landscape May Fourth Square
May Fourth Square is named after Qingdao was the trigger for the great May Fourth Movement in modern Chinese history. The iconic sculpture " Wind in May", with its spiraling wind and fiery red shape, embodies the patriotic tone and national strength of the "May 4th Movement" and is one of the iconic landscapes of Qingdao in the new century.
This square is also close to the seaside. It is very quiet and comfortable to watch the sea here.

Stop 10: The unique architecture of Badaguan
Badaguan is a famous villa area, which gathers the architectural styles of more than 20 countries and is known as the "Architectural Museum of All Nations" . Here are some photos for everyone to take a look at. There are really many beautiful buildings.
The main road is named after eight famous passes in my country, hence its name. For example, I actually took a lot of pictures of the street sign below, but not all of it was released.
In addition, the famous Huashilou is also here. It is said that Chiang Kai-shek once lived here before liberation, and after liberation it became a hotel for receiving Chinese and foreign dignitaries.
This is a European castle-style building that combines various Western architectural styles. It is backed by the Eight Great Passes and faces the Second Bathing Beach. It has unique scenery and beautiful environment.

Stop 11: The beautiful Second Bathing Beach
I just mentioned that the Huashi Building is located on the shore of the Second Beach, so I walked there from Badaguan. The second bathing beach, the sand here is fine and soft, and the sea is very quiet.
There are not many people in the off-season, so you can quietly feel the sea breeze and sunshine.

Travel guide:
Weather conditions: Between minus 3℃ and above zero 3℃, numerically it is warmer than Beijing, but the sea breeze is really cool. It is recommended to travel in winter. You need to wear the thickest equipment such as down jackets.
Accommodation Guide: Summer and autumn are the peak seasons in Qingdao, so travel and accommodation in winter will be very cheap, which can save a lot of expenses, and Qingdao in winter is uniquely beautiful. The place I live is relatively close to Qingdao Station and popular attractions, so traveling is very convenient. On the first day, I even went back to the B&B to sleep in the hotel before going out to play.
Transportation guide: Qingdao’s buses and subways are relatively convenient, and there are many scenic spots around the seaside, so the distances are not far.
You don’t have to worry about change when traveling by bus. You can use the Qindao Tong electronic card on Alipay.
Taking a taxi is also relatively smooth and the cost is not high. The total transportation cost for 2 days was less than 50 yuan.
Attraction Guide: I like all the attractions I visited in the past two days, but my favorites are Signal Mountain, Little Qingdao, and Badaguan.
When I went to Badaguan, most of the leaves had fallen. It should be more beautiful in summer and autumn.
Food Guide: It’s a pity that I didn’t have a proper seafood meal by myself. The spicy squid rings at Kowloon Restaurant during the trip were pretty good and quite fresh.
In terms of specialties, Zhengzhuang fat dregs is really delicious.
Okay, this is my 2-day trip to Qingdao. I like this city very much. It has beautiful buildings and vast sea areas. I will definitely come back to check in!
