Reporter Wu Ruici/Comprehensive Report
South Korean actor Lee Seung Gi has signed with Hook Entertainment for 18 years. He considered himself a "losing money singer" and had no idea that he could receive music income. The incident came to light recently and he officially filed a lawsuit with the company. During this time, he also discovered that even the advertising and endorsement fees had been misappropriated by the company's senior directors. On the 22nd, he appointed a lawyer to speak out and will file a lawsuit against the company's boss Kwon Jin Young and senior directors.

Lee Seung-gi spoke out through his lawyer on the 22nd and has officially filed a lawsuit with the court. The lawsuit targets include the company boss Quan Jinying and three current senior high school students. In addition to pursuing the unpaid music income from the company over the past 18 years, he has also recently received revelations that the company has even misappropriated his advertising endorsement fees in recent years, charging a 10% service fee in the name of "agency fee". He always thought that it was paid to the advertising agency, but he did not expect that it went into the pockets of several directors.

Ironically, Hook Entertainment waited until Lee Seung-gi had a showdown and still had the money, and then they spit out KRW 3.63 billion (approximately NT$15 million) and admitted that they had embezzled "service fees" in the past few years, which clearly constituted a criminal act. Lee Seung-gi appointed a lawyer to sue his boss Kwon Jin-young and three current senior directors for the crime of misappropriating public funds for business (transliteration). Lawyer
emphasized that "Lee Seung-gi has never settled with Hook Entertainment." However, Hook Entertainment paid 4.81 billion won (approximately NT$115 million) into Lee Seung-gi's bank account on December 16 without informing him, and preemptively stated that he would file a lawsuit with the court for "the debts of both parties do not exist." However, Lee Seung-gi has not received a notice of the lawsuit so far, and only learned about the other party's intention through news media reports that day.

Due to the difference in the "amount of income" recognized by both parties, lawyer Lee Seung-gi will continue to file a lawsuit and require the other party to pay damages. As the position stated before, he will do everything possible to fight to prevent similar victims from happening again.
