On December 29, the Zongluzui Management Office of Hubei Communications Investment Edong Operation Company organized employees to carry out emergency drills against theft and robbery.
Before the drill, all personnel gathered in front of the office building, and the person in charge of the activity read out the plan to familiarize employees with the drill process, understand the purpose of the drill, and clarify the division of responsibilities. In the
drill, a sudden theft and robbery incident at the toll collection site was simulated. A staff member acted as a "robber" and attempted to commit a robbery on the pretext of asking for directions. The toll collector on duty immediately closed and locked the toll collection window and stepped on the alarm to notify the toll collection monitor and centralized control point personnel. After receiving the alarm, the monitoring personnel at the centralized control point immediately zoomed in and reported to the leader on duty at the management station, and dialed "110" to call the police. The leader on duty quickly organized employees to rush to the scene for reinforcements with anti-riot forks, shovels, iron bars and other tools. In just three minutes, the "robber" was subdued and the "murder weapon" was taken away. No toll-bearers were injured.

This anti-theft safety emergency drill tested the operational feasibility of the emergency plan, effectively strengthened employees' self-prevention awareness and emergency response capabilities when responding to violent crimes such as robbery, and provided a more solid guarantee for the property safety of station employees and drivers and passengers.
