Everything in life is accompanied by good and bad. No event can exist with a simple one-sided influence. In places we cannot see, there must be a dual impact of gains and losses.
The same is true for good and bad in life. When a person is bearing humility, blessings may be hidden in it. When a person is enjoying blessings, you should also know that misfortunes are also snuggling beside him.
As Lao Tzu said in " Tao Te Ching ": "Misfortune is where good fortune depends, good fortune is where bad fortune lies." There are disasters waiting beside glory and favor, so when you are in a high position, you must not be content with yourself; and when you are in a difficult and poor life, there will always be blessings to follow, so when you are frustrated, you don't have to be sad because of your loneliness.
"Cai Gen Tan" says this: If God wants to bless people, he must first warn them with minor misfortunes, so there is no need to worry about the disaster, it depends on his ability to save them. If God wants to harm others, he must first apologize with a small blessing. Therefore, there is no need to be happy about blessings, it depends on his ability to bear it.
When God wants a person to bear the blessing, he will use some small disasters to warn and remind him. Then when the disaster comes, there is no need to bother you, it depends on whether you will save yourself.
This is also true for misfortunes. When God wants to come to a man-made disaster, he will test it with blessings and deliberately make him arrogant. Therefore, there is no need to be happy when blessings come. It depends on whether you have a wise enough mentality to absorb blessings.
should be the case for each of us. Before blessings come, we must go through a dark life. When he can break through this darkness, the natural infinite light that comes in front of us is the same.
So the more successful a person becomes and the more blessed he has, the more he should maintain a humble and cautious attitude. If he does not know how to accumulate his virtue and uses virtues that are higher than his own blessings to protect his blessings, then in a flash, his own misfortune will definitely be revealed.
Just like the th year of Gengyao during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, he was very accomplished at that time and was once regarded as the pearl in his hand by Emperor Yongzheng. After he was greatly favored, there was no need to say that his high-ranking officials were generous, but when he faced such a state, he did not know how to restrain his own behavior, nor did he be humble and concessionate, but became more arrogant and domineering.
Later, because of the rudeness in front of Yongzheng, various reasons combined, Nian Gengyao was sentenced to death.
So the more you are, the more you are, the more cautious you must be in order to keep this blessing, otherwise this blessing will be shallow for the time you will stay in your life.
Just like the saying in "Su Shu", it is said: Those who are noble but forget the lowly will not be long. The meaning of the sentence
is: after being rich, forget your state of poverty and humbleness, and such a person will definitely not last.

The most terrifying state of life is to suddenly become rich.
Because when a person jumps up from a state of scarcity and goes to wealth, he will be blinded by sudden material things, and at this time he will inevitably develop a state of arrogance, extravagance, debauchery, and excessive arrogance, just like Nian Gengyao. Although this is a normal human nature, this state brings unpredictable disasters.
So when a person lives in a dangerous position of wealth and honor, he will show a arrogant and arrogant mind, forget his poor appearance, and focus on enjoying the current wealth and honor. How can such a state last for blessings?
Looking at the past and present, there are many wise people in history who deal with similar problems better when facing similar problems, such as Zhang Liang , Fan Li , Li Mi , etc.
Zhang Liang is an important counselor of Liu Bang. He was praised by Liu Bang as a person who "planned the plan and won a thousand miles away". After Zhang Liang won the world for Liu Bang, he chose to retreat bravely and did not stay for a moment to leave. The same is true for Fan Li. After Fan Li and Wen Zhong defeated the King of Wu for Yue Goujian , he took Xi Shi on the lake, without any nostalgia for fame and fortune. Li Mi went in and out of his career in his career. In this process, no matter how high he was at, he did not have any greed. Every time he left, he was free and relaxed.
What they have in common is their indifference when facing fame and fortune. When they build a world for the king through their own efforts, they choose to retreat bravely when they should enjoy wealth and titles in life. Such wisdom and free and easy attitude are the truth that life needs to be truly understood, and it is also the most important foundation for protecting themselves in a high position, so they can finally meet a good ending in life.
There is a passage in "Guanzi": People who are noble but not polite will return to humbleness, while people who are rich and domineering will return to poverty. Being a person should be honest. No matter how their status changes, its fundamental cannot be changed.
And a "fundamental" refers to the virtues of life, because everyone has to go through the storms in the past of life. When a person is experiencing ups and downs, he needs to be supported by virtue in order to move in a better direction.
In life, one should cultivate oneself with virtue, and everything should accumulate blessings with wisdom. Only by taking virtue and great wisdom as the prerequisite for dealing with things can one grasp the turning point of good and bad luck when life changes and keep the blessings of life.
