Recently, the scale of the "anti-extradition bill" riots has cooled down. The Hong Kong opposition forces are currently reversing the unfavorable situation of people being bored of the riots and creating a "good" political image. is fully preparing for the increasingly approaching district council elections, and trying to seize the dominance of the district council.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is divided into 18 administrative districts, each district has its own district council, which is a regional organization at the regional level in the Hong Kong political system. Its main function is to put forward opinions to the government on the affairs of the lives of grassroots citizens, upload public opinion and demands, and carry out various grassroots work to serve the people's livelihood.

On November 24 this year, Hong Kong will hold the sixth district council elections. Among the 479 seats elected in this session, except for 27 "of course seats" that are directly elected without voting, the remaining 452 elected seats are all obtained by the elected votes of the 18th District of Hong Kong.
The election of the district council in Hong Kong is of great significance. The election form of the district council is universal suffrage, which can reflect the choices of ordinary people in Hong Kong. And it is the first election since the "anti-anti-amendment bill" riot, involving the grassroots governance power in Hong Kong. This is an extremely important election for the opposition and establishment, and it even concerns the future direction of Hong Kong.
This year's competition is unprecedentedly fierce
The previous district council election was held in 2015. At that time, a total of 951 people signed up for election. Although there were fierce competition in some constituencies, there was also a situation where only one person registered in one constituency and no voters needed to vote to be elected automatically.
However, this "automatically elected" situation no longer exists in this session. On the day of registration deadline on October 17, a total of 1,104 people signed up for the election, 153 more nominations than the previous district election, and the number of candidates was also the largest number of candidates since Hong Kong returned. On October 31, the SAR government finally announced 1,090 candidates who were validly nominated, competing for 452 seats, with an average of 2.4 people competing for each seat. Therefore, all 452 elected seats need to be elected by voters this time, and there are even 5 candidates competing in some constituencies, which is the first time since the establishment of Hong Kong District Council .
What needs to be paid attention to is that among the 70 legislative seats elected by the new Hong Kong Legislative Council next year, 5 "super district council" seats are all elected by voters within the scope of district council members. In addition, 117 of its 1,200 members are also from district councillors. The political significance of district councillor qualifications has become very strong.

There are actually these people who successfully entered the gate? !
During the "Anti-Anti-Amendment Act" riot, the opposition smeared the SAR government and instigated confrontation between the people and the government. With the powerful propaganda offensive in the early stage, the opposition camp launched a large number of "Hong Kong independence" elements and violence-willing personnel to run for the election of this district council, trying to win more seats in one fell swoop and seize the dominance of the district council, with the intention of making the district council a political tool that engulfs public opinion.
If the opposition's plots ultimately succeed, the political movement will be brought into grassroots communities by then. Perhaps more citizens who are unaware of the truth will be deluded and incited to become political pawns under political slogans such as "Liberation of Hong Kong, Revolution of the times". The opposition's political intentions are packaged as seemingly legitimate and reasonable "public opinion demands", which brings greater difficulty to the SAR government's work to stop violence and chaos. The job of the district councillor is to deal with the complex people's livelihood issues at the grassroots level. Those who are focused on political competition or promote violent revolution will never be able to truly focus on these grassroots affairs. Grassroots issues will only increase, and conflicts in people's livelihood will only accumulate deeper and deeper.
Observe the candidates sent by the opposition camp this time. Some of them are "independent" and some of them are violent elements who directly advocate "braveness":
Lin Zhuoting
Legislative Council members of violence and deliberately shelter thugs

Lin Zhuoting is a political speculator, currently a member of the Legislative Council and a member of the North District Council.During the riot of "Anti-Amendment Act", he deliberately announced the fire route map of the Legislative Council building to provide route guidance for the rioters; at around 21:00 on July 6, Lam Cho-ting deliberately sheltered the rioters at the Tuen Mun riot scene and asked citizens who took the rioters with their mobile phones to delete all photos of the rioters, saying: "The most important thing now is to delete photos of the demonstrators' appearances and not to be investigated by the police."
At present, Lin Zhuoting received a valid notice of nomination in Shihuxu Constituency in the North District and successfully entered the gate.
Yuan Jiawei
To conceal the position of "Hong Kong independence" withdraw from "Hong Kong Democracy" in advance

Yuan Jiawei is the former vice chairman of the "Hong Kong Democracy" organization "Hong Kong Democracy" and the girlfriend of Luo Guancong, a member of the "Hong Kong Independence".
In order to prevent the successful participation in the district election due to the political proposition of "Hong Kong independence", Yuan Jiawei announced his withdrawal from the "Hong Kong independence" organization "Hong Kong Democracy" as early as May last year, trying to whitewash his political stance. On October 17, when the election director did not ask for his opinion, Yuan Jiawei was directly nominated in Tianwan Constituency in the South District and successfully entered the gate.

Zhu Kaidi is the current member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and advocates "Hong Kong independence" position "democratic and self-determination". The riot continued in the early stages. Zhu Kaidi went to Taiwan to purchase a large number of riot materials, colluded with "Taiwan independence" to actively operate the matter of "brave" rioters going to Taiwan to obtain political asylum.

On October 18, Cen Zijie was given a valid nomination notice in the Liyuan constituency of Shatian District and successfully entered the gate.
Zhang Xiuxian and Chen Zhaoyang
cleverly speak sophistry to cover up the position of "Hong Kong independence"

When the district elected director asked the "Hong Kong independence" element Zhang Xiuxian to explain his intention to promote the position of "restoring Hong Kong, revolution of the times" on social media, Zhang Xiuxian argued that "restoring Hong Kong is to restore Hong Kong back to its old face, and revolution of the times is like a major change at the level of industrial revolution, technological revolution, etc.", deliberately covering up the position of "Hong Kong independence".
is also the election director who requested an explanation of "restoring Hong Kong, revolution of the times". "Hong Kong independence" member Chen Zhaoyang argued that "restoring Hong Kong" is to restore the core values of Hong Kong people, and "restoring of the times" is to break through the old mentality of making money in the past, resisting injustice, and pursuing political revolution to achieve universal suffrage.
On October 21, Zhang Xiuxian was notified of nomination in the Yuanlong Constituency of Yuen Long District, and Chen Zhaoyang was notified of nomination in the Shakoo Constituency of Sha Tin District, and both were successfully entered.
Huang Xueli
"Brave" thug, besieged by the police station, was arrested

He was arrested on the spot by the Hong Kong police on suspicion of obstructing police officers from performing their duties and participating in illegal assembly without permission.
On October 23, Huang Xueli was given a valid nomination notice in Songtian Constituency, Shatin District, and successfully entered the gate.
He Zicong
gathered thugs to attack MTR webmaster

On September 4, He Zicong gathered other thugs to violently attack the off-duty MTR station at MTR Pauline Station, and has been charged with the crime of attacking causing physical injury.
On October 19, He Zicong was nominated for the Nomination in the Environmental Protection North Constituency of Saigong District, and successfully entered the gate.
Huang Ruiying
incites to fight against the anti-mask law, and clamors to protest protesters to continue to go to the streets

Huang Ruiying is the community secretary of the current Legislative Council opposition member, Noelung, and has served as an assistant to several opposition legislative committee members.
Recently, Huang Ruiying announced the Halloween mask design drawings designed and manufactured by him in the name of district council election advertisements on social media. It was printed on paper as a mask, and it was clamoring that demonstrators would continue to go to the streets to protest violently.
On October 15, Huang Ruiying was given a valid nomination notice in the Aberdeen Constituency in the South District and successfully entered the gate.
concessions? Or rise up and resist?
Before we saw that on October 29, Joshua Wong was disqualified from the Haiyi West Constituency in the South District because of his long-term advocacy of "democratic self-determination". But even though he knew that his political stance of "democracy and self-determination and advocating Hong Kong's independence" was contrary to the Basic Law, why did he still run for election? Joshua Wong has recently created farces to hype himself, from intimidating the election director to a briefing on the election candidates for the district council election, what he has been waiting for is the result of being DQed. We must be clear-headed that Joshua Wong’s registration for election is just a "smoke bomb". In fact, it is to attract attention and then cover up other "Hong Kong independence" elements and brave thugs entering the gate successfully. At the same time, it can also create public opinion for smearing the SAR government, thereby maintaining its own political popularity. It can be said that it kills two birds with one stone.

The reason why these "Hong Kong independence" elements and violent people under the opposition camp have been successfully entered, in addition to failing to fulfill their review responsibilities, are there any reasons for fear of threats from thugs? Or is it a concession to avoid arousing a larger rebound in the opposition?
There are many candidates like Zhang Xiuxian and Chen Zhaoyang who are simply asked about the literal meaning of "restoring Hong Kong and revolution of the times", and do not censor the person's long-term political stance, and can easily pass the review by playing freely. Once these people have dominance or semi-dominance in the district council, they will inevitably cause more serious harm to Hong Kong.

As the district council election date approaches, the opposition is taking various means to attack the establishment candidates, not only using various vulgar propaganda techniques to spread rumors and smear candidates, but also smashing and burning the candidates' office space, exposing their families and children, and mailing anonymous letters to threaten and intimidate them.
Under the black terror atmosphere, some pro-establishment candidates were threatened by their families to withdraw from the election; some voters who wanted to vote for pro-establishment candidates were "using both soft and hard" by the opposition, and children directly told their parents that "if they voted for pro-establishment people, they would not give you a penny to retire in the future"; some merchants were threatened to not post pro-establishment posters, otherwise they would be "decorated" (smashed). The ultimate goal of various means is to make these candidates give up the election when they see the difficulties, so that voters who support pro-establishment are shaken or even afraid. The safety and fairness of district council elections have been severely impacted.
Faced with the intimidation and threats of the opposition, are the majority of voters cowardly and retreating? Or should we keep our eyes open, stand up bravely without fear of black terror, cherish and use the sacred votes in our hands, and eliminate Hong Kong-disaster elements with votes that support patriotism and love Hong Kong?
Faced with all kinds of illegal acts in the election, , the Election Management Committee, the Independent Commission for Independent Government, the police and other relevant departments will let it go? Or should we play our respective functions, enforce the law strictly, and resolutely crack down on it based on effective legal means?
Facing extreme situations that have even occurred, is the SAR government making concessions? Or should we be brave enough to take responsibility, plan in advance, formulate a disposal plan according to the "District Council Regulations", take decisive action, and take all reasonable and effective measures to completely break the plot of violently manipulating elections, kidnapping and concealing public opinion, and creating false election results?
Since those "independent" and "violent" people obviously cannot truly serve the grassroots, and cannot represent the true public opinion, we believe that the SAR government, relevant departments and ordinary voters will make the right choice.
Let's wait and see...
