The 8th constituency election of the Kuomintang Tainan City Councilors was released today. Cai Zonghao, supported by City Councilor Xie Longjie, won the first place with nearly 60% of the support rate. Yongxiang Li Changgao won the second triumphantly. The two will represent the current city councilman Xu Zhichun to participate in the next city council election with the Kuomintang. Lin Jinwang, chairman of the municipal party committee, said that the primary election process was harmonious and thanked the candidates for their willingness to work for the Kuomintang and looked forward to winning the election at the end of the year.
The 8th constituency includes the Central and Western Districts and the North District. The Kuomintang media people Yao Zhengyu, Yongxiang Lichang Gao Kaixuan, former Evergreen Lichang Lichang Pan Meichun, and Luo Zhiqiang's former assistant Cai Zonghao participated in the primary election. Among them, Gao Kaixuan expressed his intention to run for the election as late last year. Cai Zonghao, supported by Xie Longjie and former member Hong Yufeng, challenged as a 26-year-old newcomer. He was optimistic from the beginning, and the primary election result was as expected.
