Wu Chengdian said that for the Kinmen people, if there is a bridge connecting from Xiamen to Kinmen, it is of course best and very welcome, and it has a gentle effect on cross-strait relations. Wu Chengdian believes that, based on the current situation of political mismatch between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, it seems that it is impossible to even talk about the Jinxia Bridge. The second thing, Wu Chengdian said that the closest distance between Kinmen and Xiamen is only more than two kilometers. Currently, Xiamen Island is building a subway to lead to Dali Island . If you go two kilometers further, it is about the distance from MRT in Banqiao, New Taipei City to Longshan Temple in , which can be connected to Kinmen Island . The subway has tracks, which are punctual and short, and are not affected by typhoons, etc. The subway from Xiamen to Dali Island and then to Kinmen will be more useful than the Jinxia Bridge.
