"The Li family in Kinmen was from Xiamen Tong'an ( Yincheng ) Puyuan. In the past ten years, they have come to participate in ancestor worship activities every year." Li Jinzan, chairman of the Li family clan association in Kinmen County, told reporters that the ancestor worship activities have been held for more than ten years, and the number of participants is increasing. Every time they come, you can feel the enthusiasm of the local clans.

Li Heping, chairman of the Li clan association of Puyuan Community, Xindian Town, Xiamen, introduced that the Li clan of Puyuan went to Kinmen more than 600 years ago. For a long time, except for the special period of cross-strait relations, the exchanges have always been frequent, especially in the past decade.
"The two sides of the Taiwan Strait are one family. For the people, it is 'down-to-earth and connected with the hearts of the people'." Li Jinzan said that in addition to communicating ancestors and clans, clan relatives on both sides will also have business exchanges. "It's all my own people, so it's easier to talk and be more relaxed."

Yang Zhenzhen, the county magistrate of Kinmen County who came to participate in the worship of ancestors, said, "In the process of cross-strait exchanges and pursuit of spiritual harmony, ancestor worship activities are the most natural and best-effect." Although he is not a clan relative of the Li family, "as long as it is any activity that helps further exchanges and integration between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, we are willing to promote it together."
