In September 2015, we chose our honeymoon spot in Taiwan after taking a wedding leave. For two liberal arts students, especially those who are from the Department of Modern and Contemporary History, Taiwan is a very story-breaking place.
September 10, for this day, we went to the "Central Research Institute" located in Nangang (according to my country's publishing standards, quotation marks) and Du Yuesheng's tomb. If it weren't for the fact that Xiao Cao Cao had done his homework in advance, I wouldn't know that Du Yuesheng, a generation of heroes, had the cemetery not in Hong Kong, but in Xizhi District, New Taipei City, , Taiwan.
xizhi, literally, it should mean that the tide has risen to this point and the tide has receded.
Xizhi District is located in the northeast of New Taipei City, adjacent to Taipei City by Dakeng River, Keelung River and Neigou River in the west, and adjacent to Taipei City by hilly land in the east, between Taipei City and Keelung City in the east. The whole region has a diverse terrain, with narrow plains only along the Keelung River, and the climate is rainy all year round.

Take the train from Taipei Station to get off Xizhi Station. We should have taken the Juguang number that departed at 9:14, or the one that departed at 10:14. The journey took about half an hour, which was a bit similar to the interval train, such as the one from Shanghai South Station to Jinshan Station.
Stand out of Xizhi, and it was all up to Xiao Cao Cao to check the GOOGLE map, and then took me all the way. It should be the blue route in the middle, which was around the mountain from the back of Xiufeng Primary School. Du's tomb is located halfway up the mountain.

Walking to the hillside, we saw Mrs. Du Yuesheng and Mrs. Yao’s tomb (the fourth wife should be the fourth wife Yao Yulan , it is said to be a famous Peking Opera actor), and we feel that it should be here. So, continue to move up. There should be flies, mosquitoes and branches surrounding the road, which can be considered a way to overcome all obstacles!

Du Yuesheng - a strife in Shanghai and a generation of heroes. He once controlled Shanghai's largest underworld organization - Qinggang . He was free from the gray area outside the government and had a good relationship with many important figures in modern history, and even influenced the political trend of modern China. His story is no less than the Godfather.
Such a legendary figure's residence after death is so depressed and overgrown with weeds. It is said that the descendants of the Du family are now in Canada, so they probably don’t come to pay homage to the public often. There is no inscription on the tombstone that describes a lifetime, only the signatures of the children. I forgive me for not taking pictures clearly on my phone. The words on the monument are "First examine the tomb of Du Gong Yuesheng's mansion."
After staying for a while, we went down the mountain. The entrance and introduction were found at the foot of the mountain. The introduction on the sign says that after Du Yuesheng died in Hong Kong in 1951, he was buried in Taiwan in 1953. On the day of the housekeeping ceremony, Chiang Kai-shek's helicopter "circling the cemetery and hesitating" . This is really intriguing.
Whether it is a great hero or a peddler, he will eventually return to loneliness, and only the footprints of the past are left to future generations to pursue.
