Reunion with you This heart is at peace

Zhang Zhencheng

I have read many stories and been to many places, but the one who really has an indissoluble bond with me is the beautiful and lovely China. My love for China from the novelty of the first meeting to the love of knowing each other, and then to the praise of reunion after a long separation, those stories are quietly placed in my heart, inspiring me to move forward.

First Knowing

My fate with China began in the summer of 5 years old.

I still remember it was midsummer in July, the sun was scorching, and the birds were hiding where they were. The plants and trees were lowered and the cicadas were crowing from time to time from time to time from the trees. Early that morning, my grandfather, who had been retired for several years, suddenly put on the military uniform that was enough to prove his life glory, took my little hand and came to " China-Korea Friendship Tower ", and said to me, "Child, have you seen this tower? Under this tower, all our relatives and brothers are lying under this tower, you must not forget them!" After returning home, I asked my grandfather who they were, and my grandfather told me that what was lying inside was the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army who fought side by side with us during the Liberation War of the Motherland. Since then, I have developed a strong interest in China, and the story with China has begun.

Features Know

Childhood is the most unforgettable time in life, just like colorful boxes filled with pearls. After years of precipitation, they become more and more precious.

Memories are like a ship, carrying me back to Shenyang, Liaoning, China, where I spent my childhood - while learning Chinese and Chinese culture in the local primary school, I almost traveled all over the three northeastern provinces of , , and learned and deeply fascinated by the colorful Chinese culture. In addition to Chinese culture, Chinese food, folk songs, and clothing also amazed me.

When visiting the three northeastern provinces, I ate all the local delicacies, such as chicken stewed mushrooms , pork stewed vermicelli , pot dumpling meat , etc., and other local specialties, such as fish-flavored shredded pork , Kung Pao Chicken Dice , Chongqing hotpot , Maoxuewang and stinky tofu. In addition, I found that traditional Chinese festival delicacies also have their own characteristics, such as Dragon Boat Festival zongzi, Mid-Autumn mooncakes and Lantern Festival dumplings. These delicacies are not only full of color, fragrance and taste, but also have unique stories behind them.

In addition to food, I also like traditional Chinese folk songs and traditional clothing. From those traditional songs, I heard chanting and resonance that spanned thousands of years; in traditional clothing, I saw the harmony of color matching, and thus the craftsmanship and agility of the Chinese. These all deeply attracted me, who was fashionable and young. After returning to China, I continued to learn Chinese and Chinese culture, and I still enjoy it.

Time flies. After 6 years, I came to China again. Compared with 6 years ago, there has been a lot of changes here. In these short six years, China's high-speed rail, online shopping and mobile payment have made people's lives more convenient. This is enough to show the rapid development of China's economy, and all aspects of clothing, food, housing and transportation have created a miracle of "China's speed".

In addition to economic development , I admire the courage and unity of the Chinese people in dealing with emergencies .

In 2020, the new crown pneumonia epidemic that swept the world caused a serious blow to the world. In the face of this sudden epidemic, the Communist Party of China and the people of the whole country have united themselves and achieved great victory in this thrilling war without gunpowder. During the epidemic, I have been paying attention to relevant news, witnessed this touching battle of defense, heard the good news from the scientific research position, and met ordinary heroes emerging from all walks of life. In those stories that are either inspiring or touching, I have experienced the great power of the Chinese people to unite and unite.

If life is "a book", there should be more wonderful details; if life is a song, there should be more high-spirited melodies; if life is a painting, there should be more bright colors. The road of life is long and colorful. Fortunately, my grandfather took my hand and took me to meet China. I gradually understood and fell in love with China with my eyes, ears, tongue and soul.

This place of peace of mind is my hometown. Inspired by this love, my story with China will continue. I believe that the truth, goodness and beauty about China will be passed on and created forever.

Looking forward to meeting you again

Dear China:

Hello!

I used to have never met you, and I never thought that one day I would be able to be connected with you. Until August 2016, I received the admission letter for Chinese major at Hanoi University in Vietnam. Since then, I have one more you in my life. During my days with you, I have continuously improved my Chinese level, and through this novel and interesting language, I have entered your history, culture and customs, and become more familiar with you.

I especially want to say "Thank you". Since I have you, my life has begun a new chapter.

Thank you for bringing me the good luck that made me discover my unlimited potential. I used to be a good luck insulator. I never won a lottery or won any game that required luck. But during the 4 years in college, I became confident and brave as I was with you, and my Chinese became fluent the more I spoke. Finally one day, I mustered up the courage to stand on the rostrum, gave speeches in Chinese in front of so many people, and successfully won the first first prize in my life; later, I kept challenging myself, trying to be a Chinese tour guide and a translator... It turns out that there are so many possibilities in me.

Thank you for the kindness and warmth you brought me, which made me unable to help but want to get close to you and get closer to you again. In my senior year, I finally had the opportunity to meet you. It was a summer camp organized by the school. Although it was only 15 days, it was enough to convince me that the real you were as kind and beautiful as the one I knew. In just half a month, we went from Dalian to Beijing and visited Baiyun Yanshui Park, Lianhua Mountain Scenic Area, Tiananmen Square , Forbidden City, Badaling Great Wall, Summer Palace , etc. Your scenery is so charming that I can't help but linger; your development is changing with each passing day, which makes me admire and sigh; your people's kindness and enthusiasm make me feel comfortable and warm. It was this trip to Dalian and Beijing that made me, who met you in a hurry, work hard to meet you again.

The summer of 2020, also the year I graduated from university, I received the admission letter from the master's degree in international relations at Qingdao University. Thinking of having you with me in the next three years, I feel happy, down-to-earth and powerful.

But I never expected that the COVID-19 epidemic that ravaged the world in 2020 blocked our meeting again. While I suppress my expectations and miss, I work hard to complete my academic tasks and improve my scientific research capabilities, and look forward to meeting you with a better appearance. In fact, this should also be thankful for giving me a special and unforgettable experience in my life - becoming a master's degree student who enrolls online. Tough times will inspire people. Now I am writing a proposal report on the current situation of cooperation between China and Vietnam in the field of non-traditional security . This is a challenge for me with a Chinese professional background, but I am confident in learning a new major well and I am confident in contributing my own strength to further exchanges and cooperation between our two countries.

I hope the epidemic will pass as soon as possible and everyone’s lives will return to normal. I really want to say "thank you" to face you. Thank you for letting a girl from rural areas broaden her horizons, go abroad and go to a broader world, and thank you for making me more confident, firmer and better. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Colorful Yan'an Colorful China

Na Zi

"I must go to China to study." I have always told myself this.

In 2018, I left Pakistan and came to China I longed for. The first stop I arrived was Kunming, the beautiful spring city of Yunnan, where I spent a wonderful year of language learning. In 2019, I came to Yan'an, a city full of Chinese revolutionary history.

It is not as beautiful and moist as Kunming, but it has its own unique style. You must have never seen so many cave buildings in a city, so you must have never seen so many revolutionary sites in a city, and you must have never seen so many underground shopping malls in a city. It doesn’t matter, let’s walk into this city with me!

You want to ask me: What color is Yan'an? I will tell you that it is red.

Yan'an is a small town in northern Shaanxi Province. The reason why it is so famous is because it is red. It has red paper cutting, red waist drum , red yangko , and red history. I am fortunate to study here, and can visit the great people's former residence at any time, or I can proudly say that the former site of the Yangjialing Revolution is next to my school. Due to historical reasons, if you walk in the park or play in the square, you will always hear someone telling the story of Chairman Mao in Yan'an, and he is full of pride when he tells it, as if he is telling his familiar relatives. Every year on October 1 and July 1, five-star red flags are hung on every store and every bridge.

You want to ask me: What color is Yan'an? I will tell you that it is yellow.

I remember it was March when I first came here. As soon as I got off the train, a strong wind blew towards me with sand and soil. I was really frightened. In addition, at first glance, I saw a yellow-brown mountain, so I said Yan'an was yellow. The study over the past few years has given me a deeper understanding of Yan'an and a deeper understanding of "yellow" - there is the spectacular Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River, and the world's No. 1 tomb - tomb of the Yellow Emperor . Every year, the Qingming Festival is crowded with people, and people come to worship their ancestors and pray for blessings. You said, isn't it yellow?

You want to ask me: What color is Yan'an? I will also tell you that it is green.

Do you still remember the strong wind I encountered when I first came and the yellow-brown mountain I saw? Yan'an is not like that now. The mountains are covered with trees, like big green umbrellas. Let’s take a look at the water of Yanhe . It is no longer the same as before. After management, there are paths on both sides of the Yanhe River for people to walk. There are all kinds of flowers on both sides of the path. Sometimes you can also hear the frog screams. It’s a wonderful experience to take a walk here. I think this is "green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains".

has been in China for more than 3 years. I have not only seen China's development, but also seen the speed of China's development through Yan'an. I like colorful China and colorful Yan'an. I welcome you here!

Shanghai autumn

Youjiale

At 5 pm, I finished my clinical internship. I stood at the entrance of the hospital and stared at the sky for a moment, staring at the sky with my eyes, trying to find the drizzle hidden in the cloudy sky. I wanted to walk to the subway station quickly, but to avoid getting sick, I still searched for the umbrella tool from my bag.People who are seeing patients at the hospital come and go. I often joke about the tension in the rhythm of big cities, but I don’t know my fast pace. It happened that there was nothing important after that, so I decided to walk back to the dormitory slowly.

It is early autumn, and I think that the thin coat on my body should be enough to resist the cold wind in autumn, but this light rain adds a bit of biting coolness, making people tremble. After coming to Shanghai, what fascinated me the most was the sycamore tree roads in Xuhui District and Jing'an District. Walking on the stone roads surrounded by green shades made me feel particularly comfortable and at ease.

Street, the slippery ground, and wisps of smoke from cooking are like lonely smoke on the lake. In the air, the smell of rain is mixed with a faint earthy smell, just right and refreshing. Under the eaves, the tender sparrow may have longed to return to the nest, and under the constraints of the rain, they can only spread their wings, but they can never fly away. The clothes drying on the second floor of the house are entangled with black wires, and shared bicycles and battery cars on the street are next to each other in the iron guardrail... All of this embellishes the simple and unpretentious streets.

The burly sycamore tree, in the green tunnel formed by the treetops, the glare of the taillights of the car in the slightest shadows, and the sound of tires rolling over the slippery road kept quietly moving away from my ears. The quiet alley, the old-fashioned wooden glass windows are neatly arranged on the greystone brick walls of varying depths, and the retro lamps and wires and water pipes with unique charm. The outside world is noisy, but it has never broken the tranquility of this alley.

Red brick walls, black iron fences, and green street signs are indispensable scenes on Wutong Street. In the Western restaurant across the street, the black-framed floor-to-ceiling windows are like photo frames that unreservedly display the orange and yellow atmosphere in the store, echoing the dark brown exterior walls and black terraces outside the store, revealing a rich British style. The blue-toned street signs standing on the shoulders of the road are matched with each other, which is quite harmonious. Yellowed fallen leaves are embedded on the ground, carving countless prints into this quiet place.

Looking at the old villas from afar, although they have experienced the years, they are still strong and grand. The warm tones in the intersection coffee shop, neatly arranged bread, computers at the bar by the window... all of this slowed me down again. As the sky gets colder and darker, the temptation of the coffee shop becomes stronger and stronger. I stopped for a long time and finally decided to buy a cup of coffee to warm my body. Sitting on the bar, I stared at the view outside the window, trying to forget the bitterness of coffee, but the warmth in my hands always awakened the bitterness in my mouth.

I don’t know when I left the protection of Wutong Road. Looking back, I looked at the intersection of Wutong Street again. Walking forward, I look forward to returning to that lush green next time.

Youth Dream set sail in China

Bai Tai

When I was 18 years old, I went to Beijing for the first time and I knew very little about China at that time. The journey to Beijing made me fall in love with China, and I was attracted by the speed and vitality of this country. During my few days in Beijing, I felt like China is like a rising star, with unlimited opportunities and possibilities. The Chinese people, Chinese culture and China's economic development all deeply attracted me. "Why don't you embark on this land and start my dream-building journey?" I asked myself. So, at the age of 20, I decided to study in China.

In 2011, I went to Donghua University to study International Trade major. The teachers and students in the class come from all over the world. In my daily life with my classmates, I have improved my cross-cultural communication skills, established a wide range of connections, and laid a good foundation for my future work. When taking the two courses of innovation and entrepreneurship and case integration, the teacher illuminated my entrepreneurial thinking and encouraged me to put the business plans I made in the course into practice.

After graduation, I quickly found a partner and founded my own company ICL ("Integration into China Life" company). It was during my study abroad at Donghua University that my teachers’ professional teaching allowed me to gain international trade knowledge, stimulated my entrepreneurial enthusiasm, and finally successfully operated the company.

Many people were not familiar with China before coming. The challenges brought by the unknown are prohibitive and they missed the opportunity to make connections with China. I want to help young, ambitious and Chinese complex overcome many challenges they encountered in China. So my friend Nico and I started this company together to provide support for educational cooperation between commercial institutions and universities in the two countries. In the past few years of starting a business, I have traveled back and forth between , Switzerland, and China, working with young people, creating opportunities for young people's personal and professional development, while also enjoying the joy of travel. This kind of life makes me feel good. This may be the biggest benefit of owning my own company - I can do what I want and have a high degree of freedom, but I also know that the responsibility on my shoulders is heavy and every choice needs to be carefully considered.

In order to let more foreigners understand China, correctly understand China and enter China, my colleagues and I plan to shoot a short video to introduce China to the world. We showed our creativity to the Swiss Federal Government's Science and Technology Center in China. After being impressed by our creativity, they not only helped us financially, but also invited French film directors to shoot for us. The director made a special trip to China from France and traveled all over China with us, capturing the most exciting moments and sharing China's beauty with the world. A French electronic musician was deeply moved by the Chinese charm after seeing the film and made an original dubbing for us. This video "Impression China", which took 5 months to shoot, was released at the Chinese Spring Festival celebration in Lausanne, Switzerland. The short film allows more foreigners to feel the beauty of life in China through the camera, and inspires them to get closer to China and experience Chinese culture.

Studying in China has inspired my entrepreneurial enthusiasm, and living in China has given me a comfortable experience. It is also China's vast market that has given my startup company greater room for development. As an international student and an entrepreneurial partner, I am deeply grateful for everything China has brought to me. I will also develop my career well and help Switzerland and China to communicate with each other in a friendly manner.
