After the police questioned, Deng confessed that the toy kart was assembled from a certain brand of balance car and a kart kit. On the evening of August 14, he drove a kart to a dedicated track in a shopping mall near the community to practice driving, and drove back one hour later. For convenience, he did not dismantle the kart and transport it back to the community, but drove directly into the non-motorized vehicle lane and frequently changed lanes in the lane, which greatly affected the safe passage of other non-motorized vehicles. After the police were educated, Deng realized the harm and danger of his behavior.
