This is another collaboration between the world's largest cargo throughput port and the world's largest container ship, demonstrating the status of Ningbo Zhoushan Port as an important global hub port.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port is the only major port in the world with an annual cargo throughput of over 1.2 billion tons and the third largest port in the annual container throughput of over 30 million TEUs. In recent years, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has actively responded to the trend of large-scale ships, fully utilized its advantages in deep water, location and berth, and became a must-reserve port for the world's largest container ship.
The affiliation of the world's largest ship has extremely high requirements for the port's hardware facilities and service efficiency. The container terminal of Meishan Port District, which the "Changyi" ship is affiliated with, is one of the "2+1" smart terminal demonstration construction projects of Ningbo Zhoushan Port. 9 super-large container berths have been built and put into use, which can meet the berthing operations of multiple 200,000-ton container ships at the same time. In this "Changyi" round, the loading and unloading operation of 8469 standard boxes is expected to be completed. Meishan Port District applies cutting-edge technology of smart terminals, relying on n-TOS and iECS "dual core" smart brains to empower the full process with digital, and unify and scientifically dispatch equipment, site, personnel and other resources such as remote control bridge cranes, remote control gantry cranes, smart card collection cranes, and intelligent card collection to ensure that the entire operation process is closely connected, smooth and efficient.
The "Changyi" ship affiliated to this time is the first world's largest container ship independently designed and built by my country. It has a total length of 399.9 meters, more than 60 meters longer than the world's largest aircraft carrier at present; its width is 61.5 meters, with a deck area of 24,000 square meters, equivalent to 3.5 standard football fields; the maximum load capacity reaches 24,004 TEUs, which is 12 TEUs more than the "Changfan" ship of the former world's largest container ship relying on Ningbo Zhoushan Port in August 2021.
