It is reported that Kann, senior adviser to the "Syrian Democratic Forces", revealed the details of intelligence work before the US raid on the 28th. He said: "We have cooperated with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) since May 15 to track and monitor Baghdadi nearby."
He said, "Baghdadi has changed residences very frequently", but their personnel still obtain methods to sneak near the hiding place of the highest leader of the "Islamic State".
Kann posted on Twitter: "Our intelligence personnel successfully contacted Baghdadi and brought back Baghdadi's clothing for DNA identification and determined that this person was Baghdadi himself."
Kann pointed out that the raids launched by the US military in Idlib in northwestern Syria were mostly the results of the intelligence work of the Syrian Democratic Forces, although Turkey's offensive on the 9th of this month led to a delay in the operation.
U.S. President Trump announced Baghdadi's death on the 227th and thanked the Syrian Kurdish militia for "give some part of the support to the United States", but did not explain the details further.
