htmlOn May 7, the twelfth day of quarantine at home, the epidemic slowed down my pace of life. The days of home quarantine are inevitably monotonous, and I feel like I can fall asleep at any time. Similarly, due to the epidemic, the originally planned May Day trip was forced to be cancelled. But I also have more time to face myself and more opportunities to be familiar with my neighbors.
Time went back twelve days ago, and the blockade came unexpectedly.
Due to the epidemic in the area of Jinsong where I live, on the afternoon of April 26, when I went downstairs to remove the garbage, I found that the side door of the community had been blocked, and there were dedicated people to guard the entrance and exit. On the same day, the community took temporary control measures, only entering and not leaving.
At the beginning, because they were in the whirlpool of the epidemic, everyone was a little anxious. In addition, they kept seeing "Dabai" coming to the door to nucleic acid sampling, various speculations and worrying news also spread in the community WeChat group. Fortunately, all the staff of the community tested negative for the first nucleic acid test, which gave everyone a peace of mind.
"Have you finished nucleic acid?"
"I was so angry at 7 o'clock in the morning, and the queue was longer than now."
's newly built community WeChat group due to the epidemic has become a box for communication of messages: do you need to queue up for nucleic acid now; when will the transport truck delivering vegetables and fruits enter the community; which express delivery has reached downstairs...
Before the epidemic control, the community garden was a gathering place for retired elderly people. Every morning, groups of three or five elderly people sat in the pavilion corridor chatting. Now, the community garden has become a temporary nucleic acid testing point, and the elderly chatting are also maintaining a safe distance.
But due to community control, express delivery can only be delivered to the shelves at the entrance of the community, which has become a problem for me. Because, the sofa I bought online has arrived, how to move it upstairs is a problem. If it is kept at the entrance of the community, it is not safe and blocking the way, and it is not suitable.
So, I asked for help in the community group with a try-and-see attitude. Fortunately, a neighbor's elder brother immediately agreed to go downstairs to help.
Originally, I rarely had any intersection with my neighbors. Nowadays, the kindness between neighbors adds a little warmth to life during the lockdown period. For example, in the past few days, a Chinese medicine doctor came to our community group.
Tian Geng, a post-90s generation, is a Chinese medicine doctor at the Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. On the first night after the community was blocked, he sent a message in the community WeChat group to introduce himself and said that he could provide free medical consultation for everyone. Previously, he often provided medical consultations online for foreign friends who were staying at home due to the epidemic.
"Under the epidemic, it is not just a doctor-patient relationship, it is not that you have to register to help me see a doctor. Now is a special period. Since I have mastered medical knowledge, I should use it to help others." When talking about this voluntary consultation, Tian Geng said more.
As a "post-90s", Tian Geng learned Chinese medicine acupuncture with his grandfather since he was a child. Because of his professional reasons, Tian Geng is more vigilant about the epidemic. Before the community control, the current round of epidemic in Beijing had just occurred, so he bought a lot of basic medicines and cotton swabs in case of emergency needs.

"We belong to the old community, and there will definitely be some elderly people facing a shortage of medical treatment and medicine. I have to prepare in advance." Tian Geng's actions received a series of likes in the community group. In the past ten days of temporary control, he has helped three neighbors one after another, solving their problems of stomach pain, ordinary warts and erythema.
At present, the community has undergone multiple rounds of nucleic acid testing, and the results are all negative. Since there are still confirmed cases around, the community continues to implement "closed management", but there is no initial anxiety in the community group. The increasingly familiar neighbors began to talk about their own family matters, just like those ordinary days away from the epidemic.
In the evening, I stood on the balcony and looked out. There were still cars coming and going on the East Second Ring Bridge, and the community garden was already full of green, with strings of purple and white lilacs squeezed between the locust trees and elm trees. You can also vaguely see children riding scooters chasing among the trees, and laughter can be heard from time to time. It is still a lively and quiet spring.
