The teachers in charge of the project related to the Institute of History and Literature report on the project results.
Party Secretary Zeng Yunsheng, Secretary of the Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University, warmly welcomed the visit of Wang Zhixue, Secretary of the Gushi County Party Committee. Secretary Zeng Yunsheng pointed out that it has been one year since the establishment of the "Gushigenqian Museum Curation Project". The footprints of Taiwanese researchers and students are spread all over Henan and Fujian. They have investigated a large number of ancestral halls and museums and visited many elderly scholars. Xiamen University Taiwan Research Institute is fortunate to take on the curatorial work, which is both an honor and a challenge. It will surely live up to its mission and fulfill its responsibilities.
On behalf of the county party committee and county government, Wang Zhixue expressed his gratitude to all the experts, scholars, teachers and students who participated in the Gushigenqian Museum curation project. Secretary Wang Zhixue introduced the history of Gushi County and the cultural characteristics of the integration of Heluo, Jingchu and Wuyue formed in Gushi's thousands of years of development. The team came with family culture, scientific research topics, and family and country feelings, and visited Xiamen University from afar. Secretary Wang also expressed his sincere gratitude to Sun Yafu, Vice President of the Association for the Taiwan Research Center of Xiamen University, who has always cared about and supported the progress of the project.
Wang Yifu, president of the National Taiwan Research Association and professor of the Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University, delivered a conversation entitled "The Hard Core of History and Culture that Can't Be Moved". He used the clumsy performance of Taiwanese historians Zhang Yanxian and Wu Micha to deliberately separate Taiwan from the mainland as the so-called "nation state", pointing out that Zhang's "over-inference" and Wu's "confusion of concepts" cannot cut off the hard core of history and culture. President Wang affirmed the political responsibility and sensitivity of the project team, implemented the academic spirit of fishing for excellence and striving for excellence, and achieved good phased results. The leaders of Gushi County personally led the team to attend the meeting and guide the project, which was a great boost to the progress of the project.
Gushigenqin Museum curator project consultant, former director and researcher of China Fujian-Taiwan Museum, said that Gushi County's urban construction has developed rapidly, and the city appearance has been completely renewed. He talked about the social thought of tracing the "roots in Gushi" in Fujian and other places during the Southern Song Dynasty, and proposed to create a "golden signboard" of Gushigen's relative culture in the contemporary era, and should deeply explore the blood culture, celebrity memories, and folk activities formed in the history of Fujian and Taiwan.
Professor Chen Zhongchun, Director of the History Institute of Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University, elaborated in detail on the meaning of the project theme "The hometown of the Tang people, the ancestors of Fujian and Taiwan", and introduced the phased results of the project in five parts. Professor Chen Zhongchun specifically pointed out that Zheng Chenggong, Qiu Fengjia and others integrated the Central Plains culture with the marine culture, closely linked the reputation of individuals and families with the future and destiny of the country, and carried forward the Gushi spirit. He started with the Ming and Qing dynasties and proposed that the historical memory of the "Eight Scenery of Gushi" is a cultural treasure worth further exploration.
Zhang Yu, deputy director of the Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University and professor of the Institute of Literature, published a report entitled "Gushi with Stories - "Revitalization Plan for "Connecting Cultural Contexts and Continuing Arts"". She used the legend of Wang Shenzhi and Haili Fried, and proposed a long-standing exchange of cultural exchanges between Central Plains and Fujian and Taiwan, and told the three aspects of using new technologies and emerging cultural models to create a "story-telling museum". After the review of the project consulting group, Secretary Wang Zhixue and his party presented Gushigen's related books, Guanpan and calligraphy works to the project team and Xiamen University Taiwan Research Institute. Xiamen University Taiwan Research Institute presented books and souvenirs to the visiting group.
In the discussion session, Chen Jianying, deputy director of the China Fujian-Taiwan Museum, said that in the context of the surging development of modern reinforced concrete cities, how to create a unique cultural landscape and restore the "Eight Scenery of Gushi" is a question worth thinking about. Gushi's story can be expressed through cultural landscapes such as sculptures. You can actively hire artists to design and plan, and tell the story on every street and alley in Gushi.
Chen Zhiping, dean and professor of the National College of Xiamen University, fully affirmed the project results and wrote a poem himself, putting forward unique insights on the future development of the situation in the Taiwan Strait. Professor Lin Incheon, a member of the academic guidance and advisory group, said that the leaders of the Taiwan Research Institute attach great importance to the "Relationship between Gushi and Fujian and Taiwan" project. The research team concentrated all the forces of the Institute of History and Literature. They overcame the epidemic and conducted field surveys. He reviewed his past experience in museum curating and collecting materials and his experience of "traveling through". Professor Lin Incheon affirmed that the curatorial outline has basically been formed. It highlights the role of Gushi and Taiwan in the root culture, with a clear context and a complete structure. He further pointed out that the words and language of the article should be more accurate and concise.
Professor Zhu Shuangyi, the Institute of Literature, Xiamen University, believes that the curation and arrangement of Gushigenqin Museum should highlight the role of "cultural spirit" and tell stories around "cultural spirit". "Root" refers to the entire Central Plains culture, and Gushi is the southeast gate of Central Plains culture. In the ancient Central Plains, there were both wars and close cultural exchanges between them, thus forming a unique and eclectic Lianghuai culture. The "Southeast Gate" is a place similar to that of Gushi and Fujian. The people of the two places share the spirit of expanding outward, so they need more strong spiritual support, namely, root culture.
Chen Xiaochong, professor at the Institute of History of Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University, affirmed the project results and put forward suggestions for improvement. He stressed that further attention should be paid to the details of the writing and the expression of language and text. Regarding the subsequent development of the Gushigenqian Museum project, he pointed out: "Museums should be crowded, not deserted." Don't leave anyone interested after the ribbon cutting. Gushi County has a profound cultural heritage, but there are relatively few existing historical and cultural monuments. In this case, the atmosphere of a historical and cultural city can be created by creating "theme park" and " pocket park ".
HU Bing, member of the Standing Committee of the Gushi County Party Committee and Minister of United Front Work, and Zhu Kongyong, Director of the Gushi County Culture, Radio, Film and Television and Tourism Bureau, once again expressed his gratitude to the Taiwan Institute of Xiamen University for its warm hospitality and strong support for the entire project team. You Anguang, member of the Standing Committee of the Gushi County Party Committee and director of the County Party Committee Office, expressed his admiration for the cultural heritage, teacher ethics and scientific research achievements of Xiamen University, and proposed that relevant departments in Gushi should strengthen the study of blood culture and folk customs activities, promote the joint holding of cultural activities between Henan and Fujian, and warmly welcome the teachers and students of Xiamen University to experience the beautiful rivers and mountains in Gushi.
After the discussion, Professor Li Peng, Dean of the Taiwan Research Institute of Xiamen University, and Professor Zhang Yu, Vice Dean, summarized the results of this meeting, expressed his gratitude to Secretary Wang Zhixue and his party for their visit to Xiamen University, and expressed their sincere gratitude to our school's advisory team, Director Sun Yafu, President Wang Yifu and the teacher and student team for their guidance. Our hospital leaders said that Xiamen University Taiwan Research Institute will continue to help regional development, work together to help Gushi County build a golden signboard for root-family culture.
Gushi County Party Secretary Wang Zhixue thanked everyone for helping Gushi do a big thing. He said that the Gushi County Museum will inherit Chinese culture and serve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Gushi County will build high-standard and individual museums, and ultimately build a Chinese National Park and a Chinese Cultural Park. Secretary Wang affirmed the innovation of the curatorial outline, proposed that correct political standards should be adhered to, accurate and classic historical facts should be restored, and expressed his high expectations for the future development of the Gushigenqian Museum Project with an excellent academic team.
