Intel Dalian NAND flash memory business was exempted for one year, and the business can continue to operate
On October 11, Intel tweeted that it has obtained a one-year authorization from the US Department of Commerce to continue to operate its NAND flash memory chip business currently located in Dalian, China.
Intel signed an agreement with SK Hynix to sell its flash memory business to it, with a sales amount of US$9 billion. SK Hynix completed the first phase of the acquisition process in December last year. SK Hynix has delivered $7 billion in the first contract to Intel to take over the business of the flash data storage device (including intellectual property and human resources) and some assets of the Dalian flash memory factory.

Analyst: In the long run, Samsung may benefit from the production cuts
Under the influence of the double decline in demand and price of memory chips , some chip manufacturers have begun to reduce production and future investment. Kioxia has begun to reduce production this month, and Micron has also decided to reduce capital expenditure for fiscal year 2023 to the end of September next year.
For many memory chip manufacturers to reduce production and investment, analysts from research institutions believe that in the long run, the world's largest memory chip manufacturer, , Samsung Electronics, may benefit from it.
analysts believe that Samsung Electronics may benefit in the long run, which is reflected in two aspects. First, reducing production will help accelerate the balance of supply and demand in the memory chip market and stabilize prices; second, reducing production and reducing investment, which is expected to affect competitors' mass production plans based on next-generation process products.
Although several memory chip manufacturers have cut production or investments, Samsung Electronics does not seem to have plans for this. Han Jin-man, executive vice president and head of global marketing for storage business at Samsung Electronics, revealed at a meeting in San Jose, California that they did not have internal discussions on cutting memory chip production. They believe that production cuts should not be artificially cut, and they will work to ensure that there is neither a long-term shortage nor an oversupply of chips in the market.

3 wafer foundry factory downward capital expenditures have arrived, TSMC has dropped by 10% and LIJIZHENG.com has dropped by more than 40%
According to Taiwan media "Juheng.com", the leader of wafer foundry TSMC held a law yesterday (13th) saying that Finance Minister Huang Renzhao said that annual capital expenditure is based on expectations for growth in the next few years. It was estimated to be 40-44 billion US dollars a few months ago. Due to two major factors such as equipment delivery time and capacity optimization based on current medium-term operation outlook, the capital expenditure this year was lowered. was lowered from the previous estimate to nearly 40 billion US dollars to 36 billion US dollars, with an amplitude adjustment of 10%.
general manager of foundry Power Cash, Xie Zaiju, also said yesterday that due to the shortage of labor in clean rooms and electromechanical engineering, the lengthening of equipment delivery period, and the reduction of production capacity planning, will lower capital expenditure this year from US$1.5 billion to US$850 million, a decrease of 43%; as the semiconductor industry faces customer inventory correction, wafer foundry will down capital expenditure one after another.

Weiying is deploying edge computing, and its product has been adopted by Polish telecom operators and
According to Taiwan media "Business Times", cloud server supplier Weiying is actively investing in the next generation of computing and storage technology. Its edge computing server products have successfully promoted the China-Europe market and has been adopted by Polish telecom operator Hawe Telekom. Weiying is also moving from the cloud to edge computing layout.
Faced with frequent noises in the server market, Weiying repeatedly reiterated that it has not seen the slowdown in demand from clients at present , and confirmed to the market with its third-quarter revenue of 79.674 billion yuan and rewrite the single-quarter record again. At the same time, in response to subsequent shipment momentum, Weiying also expressed an optimistic view. In addition to normal order visibility, at least the end of the year, as the overall supply of components gradually improves, the semi-finished product inventory and previously backlogged orders will be accelerated.

Revenue in the first half of the year global packaging and testing factory was released. The top three of Sun Moonlight, Antuan and Changdian Technology
According to the latest report of CINNO Research, the market revenue of the top ten semiconductor packaging and testing manufacturers in the first half of 2022 increased to about US$17.5 billion (about RMB 125.475 billion), an increase of about 16.7% year-on-year. The report
pointed out that the top 10 shortlisted companies are consistent with the companies in the first half of 2021. Among them, there are 5 companies in Taiwan, , 3 companies in mainland China, 1 company in the United States, and 1 company in Singapore.
CINNO Research said that in the future, with the continuous increase in application scenarios such as 5G communication technology, Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence , visual recognition, and autonomous driving, the demand for chips in in the industry for thinner, faster data transmission rates and smaller power losses will continue to increase. Advanced packaging, as an important means to continue Moore's Law , has become the main increase in the global packaging and testing market in the future, and the market size will continue to grow.
