Apple's 6.7-inch non-Pro iPhone 14 Plus has not faced delivery delays nearly a week after pre-orders are turned on, indicating that demand for new models may be more low than imagined. Pre-orders for all models of the iPhone 14 series were launched last Friday, with the delivery time for all models except the iPhone 14 Plus starting tomorrow.
Although delivery of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is estimated to be delayed by several days or even weeks, all models of iPhone 14 Plus will still be delivered on the same day after it is launched on Friday, October 7, without delays.
iPhone 14 Plus has not been postponed because there are reports that demand for new models is worse than expected. Earlier this week, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said demand for non-Pro versions of 6.7-inch iPhones was much lower than last year's 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, which actually replaced the latter in the product line. He concluded from this: "Apple's product segmentation strategy for standard models failed this year."
iPhone 14 Plus is for customers who want a larger iPhone but do not have all the features of Apple's high-end models. The iPhone 14 Plus, like the iPhone 14, uses the same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro, has improved the camera, and some other minor improvements. Critics call the iPhone 14 "iPhone 13S", which can only make people notice small improvements and changes compared to previous generations.
