1) Today, a self-media article about the epidemic in Xining has attracted everyone's attention. This "small account" that has only published more than 20 original articles ("Today Continue to Let You See the Voices of Xining Netizens") has been paying attention to the epidemic in Xining in recent days, and many popular articles have appeared. In this article, a netizen in Xining said, "I didn't even have enough food before my grandfather passed away." There are many other contents in the article criticizing Xining’s fight against the epidemic, including saying that some sanitation workers were blocked in public toilets and had to pass them in through the window for meals. I am far away in Beijing and cannot verify what this self-media said. But there is no doubt that this article has attracted strong attention and even dissatisfaction from all parties about Xining's epidemic prevention.
2) I personally always recommend that I be realistic about this kind of article involving the epidemic. If the content reposted by the self-media is true, the local government should correct it in a timely manner and learn from it. If the content reposted by the self-media is incorrect, the local government should also strengthen external communication to let people across the country understand the truth of the matter.
3) I personally have reservations about the credibility of this self-media. In the articles it published, there were contents criticizing Bai Yansong's interview with Liang Wannian not long ago, and also contents of innuendo attacking two epidemic prevention experts, Wu Zunyou and Liang Wannian. It obviously has different opinions on the current dynamic zero-up epidemic prevention policy.
4) In addition to the Xining epidemic, Zhengzhou epidemic prevention has also caused a lot of discussion in self-media. Some readers reported to me that Zhengzhou had already made it clear a few days ago that if all nucleic acids in the community are negative for 7 days, they should be unblocked normally. However, some communities do not do nucleic acid on the seventh day after six consecutive days of nucleic acid, which objectively leads to the community being unable to unblock. Such "says" and "practices" are incredible. If the unblocking conditions are met, why not unblocking? Are these rumors reliable?
5) During this period, the epidemic situation in many places across the country has recurred, and it is time to test China's dynamic zeroing policy. To say a thousand or ten thousand, we should still prevent the epidemic scientifically and accurately. The layers of increase in investment without scientific and legal basis will indeed affect people's support for epidemic prevention policies.
6) While doing a good job in epidemic prevention, all localities must pay attention to various online public opinions involving epidemic prevention. Public opinion is not all bad things. It can often reflect the shortcomings in actual work in some places and provide the possibility for correcting errors and deviations. For public opinion that exaggerates, spreads rumors, and confuses the public, the local government needs to respond in a timely manner to let the truth run ahead of the rumors.
7) On June 27, 2022, the Comprehensive Group of the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism for Responding to the New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic formulated and issued the "New Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Plan (Ninth Edition)", which has clear and specific guiding opinions on how to determine medium and high-risk areas and how to isolate them. If there are obvious behaviors that increase the price at various levels in some places, they should be corrected in a timely manner. Those practices that cause strong dissatisfaction in the public need to be punished in a timely manner, so as to issue a clear direction of "scientific epidemic prevention and precise epidemic prevention".
8) For the issue of increasing the amount layer by layer, can we consider opening more convenient complaint and handling channels? Once verified, it should be corrected and processed. If normal complaints and suggestions channels work, there will be no real and false information flying all over the sky.
9) For ordinary people, we should also understand and cooperate with epidemic prevention. This is the responsibility and obligation of every citizen. If there is really a need for epidemic prevention, we should stay at home, be isolated, and be nucleic acids. We should not complain or be dissatisfied because epidemic prevention involves ourselves and causes inconvenience to ourselves. Of course, the premise is that the epidemic prevention policy is scientific and accurate, and it is indeed necessary.
