Zhu Fenglian introduced that there are two new characteristics of enrollment for Taiwan this year. First, the procedure for recruiting Taiwanese students based on the "academic test" scores has been optimized and adjusted. The national unified recruitment platform was launched for the first time, and 207 universities including Peking University , Tsinghua University , etc. participated in the pilot program of the new system. Judging from the results, the new platform is convenient to use, giving candidates more opportunities to choose and is welcomed by Taiwanese students. This year, the number of students admitted to Taiwanese with "academic test" scores increased by more than 20% compared with last year.

The pilot work will be carried out in 13 undergraduate universities including Minnan Normal University and 6 higher vocational colleges including Fujian Vocational and Technical College . In addition, the enrollment work for Taiwan is also carried out smoothly through other channels including the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Federation of Overseas Chinese recruitment examinations, Fujian universities’ single recruitment for Taiwan, and Jinan University , Huaqiao University “two schools joint recruitment”.
When answering relevant questions, Zhu Fenglian said that we have always believed that on the premise of doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, personnel exchanges and exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait should return to normal, which is the common expectation of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. In the recently announced entry control measures by Taiwan, many restrictions are still set for personnel in mainland China and Hong Kong and Macao. This is obviously a double standard, and it is continuing to obstruct mainland people from going to Taiwan.
Zhu Fenglian said that the "small three links" are the most important and convenient channel for exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, especially the people in Fujian and Taiwan. Residents in both places hope to restore the "Miscellaneous Three Links" as soon as possible. We hope that the DPP authorities will do more things that are conducive to cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, rather than trying every means to obstruct, restrict and engage in political operations.
