On September 19, 2022, China Steel Research Institute held the award ceremony and academic exchange activity of the "Reward and Calculation" project of the "Reward and Calculation" Steel Research Station in . Li Bo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of China Steel Research, Li Wei, deputy chief engineer and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and others attended the meeting and presented awards to outstanding individuals and teams such as Dr. Zhang Jing of Southeast University, Dr. Fei Yang of the Institute of Processing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Shen Peng of the General Academy of Iron and Steel Research, who stood out in the project competition, and awarded certificates to 15 M@T Materials Digital R&D certified teachers and 28 M@T Materials Digital R&D certified engineers selected in 2022.
General Manager Li Bo delivered the opening speech. He pointed out that "reward and calculation" is an important measure for China Steel Research to implement the national innovation-driven development strategy and actively participate in the "Creating China" activity. It is the first method carefully created and launched by China Steel Research to improve the digital R&D capabilities of materials, strengthen original thinking, create a digital R&D ecology, cultivate digital R&D talents, promote the incubation of basic, cutting-edge and common technologies in the materials industry, and encourage original thinking and demand-oriented R&D. It has the distinctive characteristics and distinctive characteristics of exploring scientific and technological innovation models and mechanisms, and is of great significance to ensuring the ecological leadership, technology promotion and application implementation of digital R&D in the industry.
He said that as the national team of my country's metallurgy and materials industry, China Steel Research has made outstanding contributions to the development of new materials for my country's national economy and national defense construction over the past 70 years. Facing the general trend of developing cloud computing + data factories in the future, China Steel Research Group actively carries out digital R&D transformation of materials, making unremitting efforts to establish a national material R&D innovation ecosystem and promote global material data sharing and application. It is hoped that China Steel Research, as a national strategic scientific and technological force, will further demonstrate the responsibility of central enterprises in serving national strategies and major construction needs, assisting industry transformation and upgrading, enhancing core competitiveness, and promoting high-quality development of enterprises.
The meeting introduced the situation of China Steel Research’s Qingdao and Zhuozhou Industrial Innovation Bases, and summarized the 2022 annual reward calculation project of China Steel Research and the M@T Materials Digital R&D Engineer/Teacher Certification Work. Ten award-winning special guests gave online and offline academic reports.
This award ceremony and academic activities are one of the series of activities for the 70th anniversary celebration of China Steel Research Institute, and are jointly organized by China Steel Research Institute Science and Technology Development Department, Strategic Development Department, Digital R&D Center, Steel Research Investment, Steel Research Institute, etc. Nearly 100 representatives from more than 50 universities, research institutes and enterprises across the country participated through video conferences.
"Reward Calculation Order" was first jointly launched by China Steel Research Digital R&D Center and China Steel Research National Double Innovation Demonstration Base in 2020. It has been successfully held for three sessions this year. The activities gather industry resources, build industry consensus, and promote inter-industry coordination, which plays a positive leading role in promoting the formation of industry digital R&D concepts.
"M@T Digital R&D Teacher/Engineer" certification is jointly organized by China Steel Research Digital R&D Center and the National Professional and Technical Personnel Continuing Education Base of the General Institute of Steel Research. It is an important measure for China Steel Research to discover and cultivate digital R&D talents and create an industry digital R&D ecosystem.
