At approximately 13:32 pm on July 20, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Tongdu Avenue and Yangtze Middle Road in Tongling City, Anhui Province.
The Traffic Police Detachment of the Tongling Municipal Public Security Bureau reported that at about 13:32 on the 20th, a bus (No. 4) in Tongling City was traveling east to west along the Yangtze River Road to the intersection with Tongdu Avenue when it suddenly lost control and collided with two cars and an electric bicycle that were passing normally. The accident resulted in 7 injuries. Two of them died after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, and 5 injured people were hospitalized for treatment with stable vital signs. Nearby guardrails, manhole covers and other public facilities were destroyed. Several electric vehicles fell to the ground, and a woman was lying on the roadside.
After the accident, fire vehicles and 120 units arrived at the scene to carry out rescue. Several traffic police stood on the road to direct traffic, and there were people beside the bus performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the injured.
