According to the official website of the National Development and Reform Commission today (October 21), recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Notice on Issuing the Implementation Rules (Revised) of Energy Efficiency Marking for Two Types of Products of Multi-connected Air Conditioners (Heat Pumps) and Electric Fans". The new rules for Energy Efficiency Marking for the two types of products will be implemented from November 1, 2022 and will be valid for 5 years.
" Energy Saving Law of the People's Republic of China " requires the state to implement energy efficiency labeling management for household appliances and other energy-consuming energy products that are widely used and consume a lot of energy. In 2005, my country began to implement an energy efficiency labeling management system. Up to now, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with the State Administration for Market Regulation (formerly the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), has released a total of 15 batches of product catalogs that implement energy efficiency label , covering 41 categories of products such as home appliances, commercial, office electronics, and lighting, and about 2.9 million product models.
From the perspective of implementation results, the energy efficiency labeling system is an important means to promote the implementation of the national standard for mandatory performance and efficiency. It is the most direct and important basis for consumers to purchase efficient and energy-saving products. It is conducive to promoting consumption quality improvement and upgrading and guiding to consume in green.
The "Notice" is mainly divided into two parts. One is the overall revision of the implementation rules for energy efficiency marking of two types of products, namely, multi-connected air conditioner (heat pump) units and electric fans, and clarifies the scope of application of relevant product implementation rules, energy efficiency standards based on, implementation time, etc. The second is the implementation rules for the energy efficiency marking of two types of products, mainly including the scope of implementation, the marking style and specifications, energy efficiency testing, the determination of marking information, the printing and application of markings, the filing of markings and announcements.
The "Notice" clearly states that the rules will be implemented from November 1, 2022 and will be valid for 5 years. Products that are shipped or imported before November 1, 2022 may be postponed until November 1, 2024 to apply energy efficiency marks according to the revised implementation rules.
