Thanks to this process change, the delivery time of automotive chips can be shortened from 40-50 days, and can be delivered in just 20-25 days.
However, this method cannot be used easily. On the one hand, it will add serious load to the production line and increase a lot of costs. On the other hand, automotive chips are given priority. will inevitably be sacrificed and bear the cost of extending the delivery period.
In other words, TSMC's method of increasing the production capacity of automotive chips is like the martial arts masterpiece of Seven Injury Fist. It hurts the enemy by one thousand and damages itself by eight hundred. To protect the interests of one customer, one has to sacrifice the interests of another customer. It is a dilemma.
