"Fast and Furious 8" is a popular movie before. Its theme also revolves around cars, but it is different from the genre of "Transformers". If "Transformers" incorporates future science fiction elements, then "Fast and Furious 8" is more in line with the current racing ecology. The racing racing in the film makes people excited, and this movie also sells well at the box office in China.
The racing scenes in the plot are full of thrillingness. If placed on the field, the same is true. However, the difference is that there are not so many dazzling special effects and close-ups under extreme control on the field, but there are only the most intuitive and exciting duels for speed. Formula One (F1) is a world event as famous as the Olympics and is a jewel polished through years of development of the automobile industry.
Here, people pay more attention to the visual sense brought by the competition and the technical interpretation of each team, but few people will explore the history of racing development through F1 events. The F1 racing technology we see now is the result of the genius in multiple automotive fields tempered with time, experience and wisdom. Every component, even parts, can give a lot of interpretations and origins.
However, as early as the original stage of the automobile industry, some people had already begun to form racing. Even though the technology was limited at that time, people could still see a smile on their faces. In 1886, Carl Friedrich Mercedes-Benz and Gottlieb Daimt jointly developed the world's first car with an internal combustion engine as the engine, announcing the birth of a fuel car.
However, the car at that time was only a "new life" stage. The lack of technology has limited this model to the "big toys" of the rich, but starting from this model, the stimulation of people's pursuit of speed has already planted the seeds. It was not until 8 years later that time came to 1894 that the world's first organized competition began to take shape.
This event was named the Paris-Rouen event, and the organizer was the Paris "Le Petit Journal", but this car competition was not a whim of the Paris "Le Petit Journal". In fact, before that, the Paris "Le Petit Journal" had held many sports events, such as mountaineering, bicycles, etc. The purpose is also very simple, mainly to expand its sales.
This time, the Paris "Le Petit Journal" (Le Petit Journal) took a fancy to the automobile industry, so the Paris-Rouen event was in the event. There were 102 people signing up for this event, but there were only 26 participants. At 8:00 a.m. on July 22, 1894, the competition officially started, attracting everyone to watch and follow.
contestants need to drive a car from Paris to Rouen according to the competition rules, with a distance of 75 miles, but at that time the car was barely only about 16 kilometers per hour, while the running speed of a normal person could reach 5-10 kilometers per hour. But even with such a slow car speed, accidents still occur frequently.
Since this event was held on an unclosed road, during the race, 7 dogs were crushed to death and one passerby was injured. Among them, a car boiler explosion occurred, causing the rider to be injured. In addition, the tires were damaged and unable to move forward, so only 17 people reached the finish line. But because of this event, the foundation was laid for later racing career.
In subsequent events, the racing accident happened again, and this time the casualties were even more serious. In the Paris-Madrid race in 1903, a car lost control and flew into the crowd watching the race, causing multiple passers-by to suffer casualties. It was also because of this accident that people decided to change the racetrack to a closed racing track.
Therefore, in subsequent racing organizations, dedicated closed tracks began to appear. The racing rules at that time were not as complicated as it is now. As long as you find a car that you think is fast enough, you can put a number on the door to register for the competition. Subsequently, the sport began to become popular in North America. In 1909, the Indianapolis 500 event was born and continues to this day.
In the subsequent development stage, the scale of racing has gradually improved, and many participating civilian cars have also been transformed by car manufacturers to give them more professional accessories and higher performance. In 1923, the first Grand Prix was held in Italy, and this event further standardized the car. At the same time, this event was also the predecessor of Formula One racing.
Summary:
Compared with the current huge F1 event, the most popular Paris-Rouen event can only be regarded as a small fight, but the reason why the original origin is worth remembering is that there is always a beginning for subsequent development. It is precisely because of the beginning of the first car race that the process of car races is constantly being optimized. In the automobile competition, it is not only the only car manufacturers are profitable. In the same way, we have witnessed the beginning and widespread use of a number of technologies on the field, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development of the automobile industry and technical accumulation.
