Webmaster's Home (ChinaZ.com) September 16th news: Apple released the first beta version of the upcoming iOS 16.1 update to the public today, opening the testing process to the public. Today's beta is released a day after Apple offers developers a beta.

Public testers who participate in Apple's free testing program can download the iOS16.1 beta version through OTA after installing the appropriate description file from the public test website. Apple says iOS 16.1 will introduce real-time activity, an interactive notification feature designed to keep you focused on what happens in real time. Live activities will be available on Lock Screen and Lingyi Island, but you won't see them in beta as developers are still working to implement support.
