AUO has not significantly expanded its production capacity in the past, like other panel manufacturers. Now we want to develop flexible OLED panels. Peng Shuanglang said that it will use its 4.5-generation line as the main production force, and the possibility of expanding production capacity will not be ruled out in the future, but we still need to observe whether flexible panel products can achieve affordable prices. The folding mobile phones launched this year hope that there will be AUO products. In addition, related technologies are also expected to be applied to watches and other products.
Peng Shuanglang predicts that the flexibility will not be large in the first two years, and the folding mobile phone will be a very high-end one. It will take some time to really increase the volume. I hope that new technology will be used in large quantities. As long as it is used in large quantities, the cost will be reduced, and there is still enough time to prepare.
