United States Verizon Telecom (Verizon Communications) announced that the company's chief technology officer , executive vice president and global network president Hans Vestberg will replace Lowell McAdam on August 1 this year and serve as the company's CEO. Before joining Verizon last year, Weihansi served as CEO of Ericsson from 2010 to 2016. McAdam will continue to serve as chairman of Verizon's board of directors until his retirement at the end of the year. He will then serve as the non-executive chairman of the Verizon board of directors.

Fashion designer Kate Spade was found committing suicide in his New York apartment, 55 years old. Kate Spade is the founder of the same name brand Kate Spade Co., which was acquired by Coach (Coach, Inc, later renamed Tapestry Inc.) for US$2.4 billion in 2017. Since then, she and her husband Andy Spade and others have founded the Frances Valentine brand.

CVS Health Corp announced the personnel arrangements of the management team after acquiring medical insurance company Aetna.
