The great heat is approaching, and the cicadas are clamoring. Next to the narrow reception desk of Wuzhou Legal Aid Center, the walls of pennants and plaques of honor are eye-catching. Facing the people who came to seek help, a girl born in the 1980s always had a sweet smile on her face, and she was at ease in dealing with various difficult legal issues. When she encountered an emotional party, she quickly comforted her. Her small body seemed to contain huge energy. She is Wei Jinyu, director of the Wuzhou Legal Aid Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
"Be sure to give the banner to Jinyu again"
One spring a few years ago, Wei Jinyu saw a grandmother standing at the door of of the Legal Aid Center, and she took the initiative to go forward to inquire about the situation.
"Child, I can't live in the welfare home anymore. I have no place to go." Grandma Huang said, wiping her tears. It turns out that Grandma Huang is old and needs her relatives as the guarantor to sign an admission agreement with Social Welfare Home before she can move in. But Grandma Huang has a bad relationship with her child - her eldest son who lives in Wuzhou is unwilling to take care of Grandma Huang, nor is he willing to sign an admission agreement for Grandma Huang; her youngest son is far away in Shanghai and never returns to Wuzhou for many years. Therefore, Grandma Huang was unable to go through the legal and compliant check-in procedures for the social welfare home.
After learning about Grandma Huang’s family situation and living wishes, Wei Jinyu comforted Grandma Huang: "Don’t worry, we will do our best to help you coordinate." The next day, he went to the welfare home with his colleagues to learn about the situation and contacted Grandma Huang’s two sons.
Which Wei Jinyu called Grandma Huang’s two sons for the first time, their tone was very unfriendly. It turned out that Grandma Huang was strict with her children since she was a child, and she once thought that her two children were not good enough to break up with them, which left a shadow in the children's hearts.
After the patient persuasion of Wei Jinyu and his colleagues, Grandma Huang's children finally realized that their mother's strictness is for them to live a good life in the future. The youngest son also agreed to check in for Grandma Huang's social welfare home, and the old man was finally able to enjoy his old age in a harmonious family atmosphere. Grandma Huang thanked her for giving the banner.

After the case was completed, Wei Jinyu also visited Grandma Huang many times, chatted with her, watched her draw, and enlightened her who was seriously ill. Grandma Huang also often calls Wei Jinyu and treats her like her own child.

On the first day after the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Grandma Huang's youngest son brought news of her death and another banner.
"My mother's wish at the time of her death is to give the banner to Jin Yu again, thank her for her help and care." Grandma Huang's youngest son said.
Looking at the two pennants given by Grandma Huang, Wei Jinyu burst into tears. "During the coordination process, I did not cry when I suffered grievances, and the person involved pointed at the nose and scolded me. But I burst into tears in this heavy gratitude and thoughts before my death."
"I can't handle it, and I won't leave tonight."
On December 24, 2020, Sister Chen led the migrant workers to the Municipal Legal Aid Center for help because 45 migrant workers in the team were owed by a company.
"If you can't get the money today, we won't go home, no one of you will want to go home!" More than 40 migrant workers surrounded the door of the legal aid center and were in a state of unstable mood.
"Don't worry. If you can't handle it, I won't leave tonight." Wei Jinyu's petite body was submerged in a crowd of dozens, but her voice was still loud and firm.
While appeaseing the mood of migrant workers, Wei Jinyu quickly organized experienced lawyers to assist in the work, and coordinated 11 departments including the Changzhou District People's Court and the Industrial Park to "consult" at the legal aid center. Finally, he found that the key to the problem was that the salary settlement methods of the company and the contractor were inconsistent, so the stalemate was inconsistent, which led to the company's refusal to give out the money.
Wei Jinyu knew that these migrant workers had asked for leave from all directions that day, and finally summoned so many departments to mediate. If they missed this opportunity, the migrant workers would start a long litigation process. So no matter how difficult the mediation is or how late the time is, she cannot give up this rare opportunity.
"Manager, those migrant workers have worked for you for so long, and their wages are always paid. It's almost 1 a.m. Now it's almost 1 a.m., and everyone hasn't eaten. I hope you can understand everyone." mediation will be opened from 3 p.m. to 12 p.m. in the middle of the night. Wei Jinyu is still patiently doing ideological work for the company manager, without any intention of giving up.

At 1 a.m., the company manager finally appeared at the legal aid center with 209,200 yuan. Wei Jinyu's body, which had been tense, finally relaxed a little, and took a deep breath. At 2:45 a.m., all the migrant workers paid their wages. The last migrant worker took the money and smiled deeply to Wei Jinyu, saying affectionately: "Thank you."
"Fortunately, I lived up to everyone to accompany us for one night and hungry for one night." Wei Jinyu sighed that if you can help the people sincerely, you will naturally gain the true feelings of the people.
"Can help a little bit, can help a little bit"
In 2019, Wei Jinyu handled the traffic accident case of the recipient Nie. Nie became a person with no civil capacity due to a traffic accident, , and needed 24 hours of care.
Although the court won the winning judgment with legal aid, the defendant did not have the ability to execute, and the party Nie was unable to get actual compensation.
"Lawyer Wei, the family is really in trouble now. The perpetrator has no compensation for a penny. I have to take care of my wife and I can't go to work. Now my wife has no medical expenses, the child has no living expenses, and her parents are in poor health and need to be hospitalized. It's really helpless." Nie's lover, Mr. Qiu, called Wei Jinyu crying.
Wei Jinyu hurriedly reported the situation to the Municipal Party Committee Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Municipal Justice Bureau and Municipal Finance Bureau, went to the community to learn about Nie's family situation and help apply for national judicial aid funds. Finally, within one month, 80,000 yuan of national judicial aid funds were distributed to Nie, solving the urgent problem.

"Isn't your responsibility to handle legal aid cases? Why do people have to look for you without living expenses? You can help so much?" Wei Jinyu's friend asked in surprise.
Wei Jinyu smiled and said, "They looked for me because they trust me. I can help you a little bit, and I can help you one."
is not just this family, Wei Jinyu is equally attentive and affectionate to every party involved. Over the years, Wei Jinyu has received more than 15,000 people and has received nearly 100 banners and thank-you letters from the masses. At the same time, Wei Jinyu has also won the titles of "Advanced Individual in the National Judicial Administrative System", "Advanced Individual in the Fifth National Legal Aid Work", "Advanced Individual in the National Protection of Women and Children's Rights and Interests".
